For anyone having the 403 error, the sidebar does work, but you need to login before using it

Go to https://messages.google.com
Login through the website
Once logged in, use the sidebar
403 should be gone and should be usable

Note that you can goto the URL opera://settings/web_modding and add User CSS for the site you want to hide certain elements.

For example, you can do:

@alexander0808 Just login to Sync and enable synchronisation

Everything is fine with Sync in desktop Opera at the moment at least for me here in the U.S. Still having an issue or are things working fine now (including Flow)?

As of today 17th March 2026, YouTube is now again detecting it because any video just reloads and hang in an infinite loop. It went normal after I turned Ghostery off (albeit with all ads loading now). 😓
