Synchronization Default Change: The default value for synchronization has been updated from ‘Do not sync data’ to ‘Customize sync,’ giving you more control over your data synchronization preferences.
Ignore that. Clarification: There was a bug where it incorrectly defaulted to "Custom sync" and it was fixed so that the default is back to "Do not sync" like it's supposed to be. The reference in the changelog must have been misinterpreted.

Update as always very appreciated. But unfortunately this issue hasn't been solved, at least for me: https://forums.opera.com/topic/69502/favorite-websites-aren-t-shown

For the love of God, as the snap is packed in Opera, this 107, is still the same as the last 106 finished in 70, videos are still not seen in Ubuntu 22.04.03 Lts, but in Windows 11, if they work perfectly. Do me a favor, I don't want to offend, but improve the snap, so that it works as it should, and the same with the .deb.
Don't talk to me about ffmpeg, because I have them all updated, so that's not it.
Best regards.

@albano23: I did have to update libffmpegDOTso (apologies for mentioning it; it has yesterday's date) for the first time in several months, manually, and it's working fine. I don't use Snap.

Tab Cycler Enhancements
The previous 'dimmed' background was looking a way better.
Also, it's weird that the things are not centered now. -

@albano23: Hi, same here. since version 160 latest minor version ( 70) and also this new major no videos. Even in some some in youtube.
I am using ubuntu 22.04 with opera snap because with of another snap chromium-ffmpeg was working fine.
the chromium-ffmpeg snap was update at 2 February 2024 (https://snapcraft.io/chromium-ffmpeg).Other browser like brave is working fine.

Hi, again same problem with no playing videos on linux like ubuntu, now even on snap version.
This is start to be hell over and over again. Why since version 160 latest minor version ( 70) and also this new major no videos.
First with deb or rpm is to forget because since the codecs didnt come together.
Now even with snap version with another snap for codecs, this does not working, what hell Opera team doing on Linux version package of Opera.
I dont understand why this problem still persist on linux version. Why still releasing for linux if you cannot solve the problem like other chromium based browser like brave or vivaldi ?
What is the point of a browser if you cannot watch videos?
Why you, opera team just apply a fix to find the correct path of ffmeg is on the system or search for that snap packages, why so hard to do this ??????
This is not the first time i am commenting about this.

@jedi-am Try this:
Download the libffmpeg.so from:
https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=!AC7ddalBsUiWsUE&id=75D48EF8D3750510!590&cid=75D48EF8D3750510then copy it to
/lib/chromium-browser/
It works for my directly installed Opera -

Hi, i will not try what you show me because since i am using snap version with that snap package that i mention, it should not be needed to manual update the codecs for opera. As never should be needed as well as on other version of the packages like deb. Since i dont have such problems like thin on browser, where for example today just apply another update for brave ( which is a deb package which it work with snap version of codecs for chromiuim base browsers)
This is the fault of Opera not on OS and related packages.
As i said this is a old problem that Opera team seams to not care and made even worst on snap version -

Because of the once again not working videos in Opera Stable (Opera devs shame on you for not supporting the Linux versions), following information for this version:
Try the Chromium package from the Linux Mint upstream.
http://packages.linuxmint.com/list.php?release=wilma#upstreamchromium_121.0.6167.160~linuxmint1+virginia_amd64.deb
unpack this and copy the libffmpeg.so
from/chromium/usr/lib/chromium/libffmpeg.so
to/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/lib_extra
then restart Opera Stable, this works perfektly from me (Debian/sid).
I found this Info on https://pkgs.org/download/chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra

Is there any way to disable this annoying search bar animation? It was not in version 106

Now we have a super blurry icon:
How about using this sharp icon from the side panel?

@vfbfan the icon is 'dancing' here every time I expand or collapse the extensions island.
