I think the Opera Devs doesn't care what the community wants.
I found the extension Undo Closed Tabs Button.
With right click on the icon you can fixed the extension on the tool bar.
https://addons.opera.com/de/extensions/details/undo-closed-tabs-button/
@sgrandin see https://forums.opera.com/post/207312
Goto the URL opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs
disable the flag and restart Opera.
The crash on many web site (with video) it’s a Linux only problem…

Undo Closed Tabs Button

For Opera stable version: 88.0.4412.27 (Chrome build 102.0.5005.61)
Go to http://ppa.launchpad.net/canonical-chromium-builds/stage/ubuntu/pool/main/c/chromium-browser/
Search for chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra_102.0.5005
(Ctrl+F) and download the following .deb:
chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra_102.0.5005.115-0ubuntu0.18.04.1_amd64.deb
Then unpack the .deb into an empty folder, unpack data.tar.xz there. In the folder /usr/lib/chromium-browser/
is the proper libffmpeg.so.
Copy the libffmpeg.so into the directory /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/lib_extra/
(If not present, create it with mkdir lib_extra
)
Restart Opera and testing:

or https://demo.castlabs.com/
With new Chrome build go to opera://about/
and read the Chrome version in the browser id.

where is the reopen closed tabs ???
It’s hidden…
Goto the URL opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs
, disable the flag and restart Opera.
Or under the red O-button and then 'History'.
@ Developers: Have any of your read the following thread?
Where is the “Recently closed tabs/Tab menu” button on the top right?
Please, don't ignore the community…

I don't like the new design at all. No, I hate it!! As a graphic designer I am unable to work with this mess of bubbles and rounded corners! I downgraded back to version 99.X after 10 Minutes and will use another minimalistic browser in future. I'm still shocked and there's only one question: why, why, why...!?
I think the designer is a big fan of Star Trek…

DNA-110244 Translations for O101 (again)
Where in Linux is a translation? On Linux i can not set the browser language in the settings. Why? The language setting in the browser has been missing on Linux (Debian).
The default language of my OS is German, Opera's UI language is only English.

My workaround of the Opera One is opera --lang=de
, but this is retro for a modern browser.

Linux: No native possibility to set the UI language in the settings. Why? Every other browser can do that on Linux...
Linux: Opera does not remember the window size and position after restart.
Please first fix the bugs, then tinker on the UI design.
@minajahan
Create a folder lib_extra
in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/
.
Download from https://repo.herecura.eu/herecura/x86_64/ the file opera-developer-ffmpeg-codecs-114.0.5735.9-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst (direct link).
Extract libffmpeg.so
from the archive and copy it to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/lib_extra/
Restart Opera.
And again the Linux bug BS-41234 was not fixed (which was to be expected)…

Linux bug BS-41234 (since 90.0.4480.54) has not been fixed. Why are Linux users discriminated?
The bug is present in Debian/sid, Linux Mint and other Unix-based operating systems.
@leocg See https://forums.opera.com/post/287992
@Nuiin can confirm this with Linux Mint.
And I can also confirm the bug on https://63red.com/
Everything under Linux...

Please fix BS-41234
Since Opera 90 stable, Opera does not save the window size and position when Opera is closed. The window is always smaller and centered when opened.
OS: Debian/sid Xfce
