@andrew84 It appears that the latest build 136.0.6008.80 has solved it, but there still appears to be an incorrect icon over certain hovers. Shows the spinning wheel. when it should not. Pretty sure this is a Opera bug but I could be wrong.

It's my first post but, seems i need to tell my problem:

Linux distribution and version:
Linux Mint 22.3 Zena (Cinnamon), 64-bit (based on Ubuntu 24.04 Noble)

Opera version:
Crashing version: 136.0.6008.80 (and presumably all newer versions)
Working version: 135.0.5973.76

Opera 136.0.6008.80 fails to launch entirely. Upon executing the opera command in the terminal, the browser crashes immediately with an Illegal instruction (core dumped) or Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped) error.

Did this happen because of an AVX2 compatibility issue? Right now I'm using Opera GX, and the newest version works fine. If this happened because of a compatibility issue, I might consider using Opera GX, but I don't know if Opera GX will eventually require AVX2 as well.

also, is quite fast edge, i never use it but damn it, maybe i have too many tabs on opera but edge does really feels to have some boost

Go to https://sync.opera.com/web/ and reset your synced data (all your synced data will be removed from Opera's servers). Then go to sync settings and set a new pass-phrase.

@sgunhouse Yes, that's it. It's more of a progressive thing however, if I am watching it the audio isn't out of sync with the film/tv show to begin with, but it slowly becomes out of sync, refreshing the page fixes that but only for a short while. I have only recently started using Opera, so I am unsure whether this could be due to an option that I could select in order to stop this from happening.

Speaking of Speed dial - I miss Stash.

I use the Pocket extension for this purpose. You could also use the sidebar extension, V7 Stash. They both work excellently.

On the menu go to Settings. In the sidebar, click on the option to show "Advanced" settings. Click on the Browser section, and scroll down to "Start Page". Select "Hide Search box".

Hello folks.
Thank you for the support and tips.
All you were right: one extension was leaking the real IP by WebRTC. For my surprise was "Privacy Badger" of EFF.
This extension set "Use default public network interfaces only" as default. In this option de real IP of ISP leaks.
For curiosity I also tried "Use default public and private network interfaces only" and "Use any suitable network interface (recommended)". Both leaked my ISP's IP and local router IP.

@garypen Well I have tried it in the past (about a year ago) but mainly I don't like the forced Windows 10 look of it and I'm used also to Opera's method of creating thumbnails for the Speed Dial items, although I liked a lot that in Vivaldi you could have as many Speed Dials you 'd want to, contrary to Opera where it gets confusing and untidy if you have many. It shouldn't have any peformance problems (I found this also http://www.digitaljournal.com/internet/op-ed-vivaldi-s-new-version-1-12-browser-worth-trying/article/505723 confirming it), and its bookmarks method in a tree amongst many other things are more on the classic path of Opera Presto or Firefox.
