Opera Mini is great but will a future version offer better security features, for example (taken from Mobile Safari) Do Not Track, Fraudulent Website Warning and more options for cookies like block 3rd party cookies?? I am interested in the upcoming sync feature and would use it as my main browser but these are my main concerns with the current browser.
Edit name of bookmark, Opera Mini for iOS crash!

Thank you for your report, I have successfully reproduced the issue:) I hope it will be solved in the next version.
As you noticed, you can move old bookmarks to "Unsorted bookmarks" section and then edit them.
Excess data usage, I seen to have it. Can it be tested

If I'm understanding his issue, Mini is reporting 85% savings, while Datawiz is reporting much more data transferred than the 15%. He's trying to resolve the two.

I visited that page on the gen 1 iPad in question, if I click on free download, nothing happens. If I click, download at the app store, nothing happens. If I click, read more, it takes me to another page, that gives download option,top and bottom of page, if I click either, I get redirected back to the first page, m.opera.com.
So I'm not sure of my options at this point.

In order to remove a bookmark tap Edit button and Delete button will appear. You can also swipe right to left over the bookmark to show Delete button.

Maybe you could try selecting between one of the three data saving modes offered in Opera Mini for IOS, by tapping the Opera logo.

Opera Mini Mode (data saving up to 90%)

Opera Turbo Mode (data saving up to 50%)

Disabled (no data saving, full web experience, video and audio etc)

And see if that makes any difference to your page loading experiences.

One thing is preventing me from using Opera Mini as my main browser: Cannot use Pocket.

@mliq, it works for me. Do you have iOS 8? Have you clicked More and enabled Pocket in Activities screen? After doing so I have a button to add something to Pocket.

According bookmarklets: could you please give examples of the ones you would like to use and their purpose?

While I'm here, I wish the javascript on Zap2it TV listings would not reload the page and show the program descriptions on the same page as it used to in v. 7.5. Otherwise I like the direction Mini is going.

I tried the TV5 site in mobile mode, with no data compression selected, and still nothing. the site said I need Adobe flash. Now if Mercury and Coast, (which are not flash browsers can play this site, as well the ESPN site I referenced in my thread, why can't Opera Mini?. This seems like a browser design issue, that can be fixed by opera in a future update. I even checked Safari (mobile) browser and Chrome (mobile). They are not flash browsers, and they all can play the site.

Even for YouTube videos, yes with Opera Mini you can often play a lot of the videos in Mobile mode, but we're talking about a 10 inch Ipad. You don't want to be in mobile mode on the Ipad, you want to be in desktop mode. Otherwise the sites look less appealing. And having to go back and forth between Desktop mode and mobile mode is a bit of a burden. If that's what you have to do, maybe there should be a toggle button on the browser to make it easy. Now in general, Opera mini is terrific, but this is a negative. I'm using Coast more.

@albone61, after upgrade from old version of Opera Mini your passwords should be saved, however only in Opera Mini mode. If you switch to Opera Turbo or No compression modes passwords will not be autofilled - you need to enter them again, but you can save it again and it will be autofilled in the future. If for some reason you can't save password on some sites or your old passwords were destroyed with upgrade, please let us know by filling bug report form on https://mini.bugs.opera.com
