The start of Opera Mini take time since updating to iOS 8.

Last autumn, I updated from iOS 7 to iOS 8. And the start of Opera Mini became to take time. I can use Opera Mini after over 10 seconds in the late case. I use iPhone 5c. And I always use the newest version of iOS and Opera Mini. So now, I use iOS 8.1.3 and Opera Mini 9.2.0.88656.

Thanks for posting this! Recently we have taken efforts to optimize the startup time, but I think we can do more. I need to get more info in order to reproduce it:

1. Please go to iOS Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage and check what is the reported size for Opera Mini
2. How much space is Available?
3. Have you ever cleared cache and cookies in Opera Mini?
4. Do you change compression modes? (Opera Mini, Opera Turbo, Off)
5. Which compression mode do you use the most: Opera Mini, Opera Turbo, Off?
6. Does the app always start slowly?
7. Do you often switch between apps?
8. How many tabs do you have usually? 1-5, 5-10, more than 10?
9. Do you have a lot of bookmarks?
10. Do you have a lot of Speed Dials?

Please go to iOS Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage and check what is the reported size for Opera Mini

490MB. Incidentally, I deleted all data ( cache, history, cookie, and password ) of Opera Mini. But 490MB.

How much space is Available?

This question is about the available storage of iPhone isn't it? It is 2.2GB.

Sometimes. When I think Opera Mini is slow, I will clear cache and cookies and other data.

I always "Off". Very rarely "Opera Turbo".

Off.

Does the app always start slowly?

Almost slowly. Sometimes quickly.

Yes. I often.

How many tabs do you have usually? 1-5, 5-10, more than 10?

I always use very few tabs. Almost 1 or 2. Rarely 3.

Do you have a lot of bookmarks?

No. I have 9 bookmarks.

Do you have a lot of Speed Dials?

I have 20 Speed Dials.

Incidentally, The start of Opera was fast temporarily. I think it was the second half of December, and January. But recently slowly again.

I updated iOS from 8.1.3 to 8.2. And Opera Mini start quickly! 3 or 4 seconds. So, I think the reason of this issue is iOS. I said the start of Opera became to be fast temporarily. I think it was the reason why I updated iOS from 8.1.1 to 8.1.2. But slowly again. I think it was the reason why I updated iOS from 8.1.2 to 8.1.3.

I guess it depends on your phone usage. Please update Opera Mini to 10.0 and if you spot any hickups, let us know:)

I updated Opera Mini to ver.10. Opera Mini start quickly! 3 or 4 seconds. Thank you for replying! :cheers:
