Yes, this behaviour was reported already. Have you enabled Synching of Speedial in version 28 by any chance?
You have to wait for v29, there it seems to be fixed. Or you can download the version 29 Beta.

RE: Speed Dial Opera 28.0Opera for Mac
You can update it only manually vial bookmarks and copy past to the appropriate device in speed dial settings. Read the forum, there was already plenty of discussion about this topic. You have to wait till v29 for proper function, if you can't wait, download Opera 29 Beta (or Next).

RE: Disable four finger swipe?Opera for Mac
OSX version?
What happens if you change the gestures in the trackpad settings? Are you talking about built-in-Mac/Apple trackpad?
I didn't even know Opera would support 4 finger gestures. It's only mouse gestures that are supported. AFAIK only way to get trackpad gestures really working in Opera is using tools like BetterTouchTool. Maybe check that if you have it how it's setup and if you don't have it, install it and set the 4 finger swipe to something else and see what happens. -
RE: Opera 28 on Mac - crashes when typing name of a speed dial item in search/address boxOpera for Mac
... of course when it crashes it mostly disables all my extension, so I have to go to re-enable them. That's probably a good measure if extension is cause for the prolem, but it shouldn't disable extensions if the problem is related to something within the core of the application such as Speeddial in this case.

Opera on iOS Speed Dial - has cool feature on the keyboard used for editing Speed Dial itemsOpera Mini
When you open Speed Dial item to Edit it on Opera iOS, you can notice a really cool feature on the keyboard, top middle, there is a toggle, when you touch toggle, the toggle becomes a slider and you can use that to move the cursor.
This is something Apple and Android should have implemented ages ago, I am not really fond of using the touch screen to move the cursor precisely in the location I want to edit, although, I have to admit iOS is way better with the bubble than Android using the sliders.
I am wondering how new Blackberry works, but from my understanding you can just slide your finger through the keys on the keyboard to get where you want, which is even better.
Opera's approach is a compromise but much easier to use than iOS and Android. I haven't seen anything like this before, I just liked it and found it very useful, so I decided to share.

RE: Speed-Dial included in SyncronizationSynchronization
Correction:
Opera 28 does sync with Opera Mini on iOS. In the speed dial section of the bookmarks you need to copy to bookmarks from one device (e.g. shown as your desktop folder in bookmarks) to the mobile (shown as mobile phone Opera folder). It didn't work the first time but it works now, it least for one time sync, I didn't try how it works for adding or removing items but it's not quite reliable yet on Opera 28 so I don't recommend using it. -
RE: Speed-Dial included in SyncronizationSynchronization
And I do not recommend to use sync for Speed dial in version 28 if you are adding and removing items in your Speed dial on an ongoing basis, there is a good chance it causes a mess.
Version 28 doesn't sync with Opera Mini for iOS. I haven't had a chance to test v. 29 beta.

Opera 28 on Mac - crashes when typing name of a speed dial item in search/address boxOpera for Mac
Opera 28 on Mac - crashes when typing name of a speed dial item in search/address box
When typing name of an item I have in speed dial, Opera will crash after typing second letter.
I'm typing into the regular "Search or enter an address" box just right under the tabs and left from the navigation icons.
When typing anything else in the box (anything that is not already a name of an item I have in my Speed dial", Opera doesn't crash and all is fine.
This happens all the time and only when typing in that box. e.g. it doesn't happen when I type into the Google search box of Speed dial page just above the Speed dial tiles.
Thanks.
