Hello, everyone!

For Opera Mini 13 for iOS, we listened to you and added a bunch of your often-requested features and fixes.

First of all, if you sign into your Opera account, you can now access your open Opera tabs from other devices in the tab gallery. This goes along with the Speed Dials and bookmarks you have already been able to synchronize in earlier versions.

You can also retrieve passwords from your favorite password manager app. After navigating to a site you want to log into, just hit the share button in the main menu and you should be able to find your password manager app. From the password manager, you can easily fill in the site's username and password fields with one tap.

We also worked hard on startup performance. We found and fixed a two important bottlenecks that should really make a difference in how quickly Opera Mini launches.

And finally, for owners of newer iPads such as iPad Air 2, iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4 or later, we now support Split View, so you can run Opera alongside your other apps.

We have just released the Opera Mini 13 beta for iOS for users registered in TestFlight!

Changelog:

• Improvements in startup time.
• Integration with password managers. Press share to access your favorite password manager application and allow it to automatically fill in log-in details
• Slide over and split screen support for iPad (only for iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 2 or later). Here we had employ some tricks to make the context menus appear in the right place, so interesting with feedback regarding this. But the feature is new in general so nice to hear of any issues

Yes, that first behaviour is expected. Apple sets an expiry date on their betas.

Regarding the second behaviour. So what you are saying is that as long as you go to the "Opera Mini" page in appstore you are able to update.

But what you were expecting was that it should also appear as an update in the to-be-updated list on appstore, and this didnt happen?

We feel a bit stuck here unfortunately - it is difficult to find other sources that have the similar problem

Answers like this is what i found, and it points to that it should be possible to upgrade the testflight build with the one from appstore.

I think we'll leave this issue for now and next time we submit a beta be careful to keep a device with the testflight version and see for ourselves what happens.

Just one question - so are you certain that is was not possible to install the released 12.0.0 version from appstore from within your phone once it was released?

This is apple's statement about how testflight works, and should imply that you should be able to get the released version from appstore.

"When the app becomes Ready for Sale in the App Store, testing automatically stops on earlier builds, and you will be unable to view or test them."

Hello everyone!

It’s time for the release of Opera Mini 12 for iOS! This time, we’ve released simultaneously with our friends in the Opera Coast team (http://www.opera.com/mobile/coast)

It has been a couple of months since the last update, but we have been busy. The feature list includes integration of Speed Dial entries into spotlight search on iOS 9, as well as quick access to your four first Speed Dial entries using 3D touch on the application icon for all iPhone 6S and 6S Plus users.

We have also turned our attentions to performance in the tab gallery and have made speed improvements there. This major rewrite should also improve the startup time, while also making us better prepared for further optimizations in the startup time area.

We’ve added a setting to allow for fullscreen browsing, and, for all 4/4S users, this setting is on by default.

Other improvements include easier access to private tabs, and the possibility to view your Speed Dial entries on your other devices when logged in to our synchronization service.

And, of course - last, but not least - a lovely new violet theme to go with our new logo and general company rebranding!

We do read our feedback channels, so the solution mbaluta provided is indeed a feasible way to get in contact with us - and will provide us with an email address and we'll get back to you. So don't hesitate.

Would be nice to know what kind of API you are looking for that is apparently already available in Chrome and Safari.
