Hello! We’ve rolled out a new Opera Developer release, version 139, with a Chromium bump, and a wide batch of fixes across vertical tabs, sidebar, settings, and stability. New in the ad blocker: But in our regular release: Known issues: For a full list of changes check out our changelog. Happy browsing! Installation links:

RNA-4869 Make Vertical Tabs panel part of same container as sidebar when using autohide

I don't understand why the sidebar and the vertical tabs bar are still linked together? If I want to see the auto hidden sidebar, why should I see the vertical tabs and vice versa?
Each panel should have own autohide mode

Also, the autohide mode for the vertical tabs shouldn't mean that the bar is hidden completely but only favicons are visible and on hover the panel should autoexpand (like in Edge).

And to avoid the cluttering one (or both) pane should have the appear on the right edge option

It seems I discovered the bug which results crashing.

-try typing smth. in the address bar
          -the suggestons dropdown appears
-now put cursor over a tab until the tooltip appears
-the suggestion dropdown disappears but leaves the dimmed area.
-now clicking anywhere crashes the browser.

In the vertical bar, dragging a card copies it, not moves it. It's the same in the last stable version.

My proposals for changes in Opera (Google Document).
