I prefer the horizontal bar, so I didn't notice this until your post prompted me to check. I also didn't notice the blog post on how vertical tabs work, which says that the "Tab tooltip" isn't available in vertical tabs, so features which depend on it, such as the volume booster, can't be used in the vertical layout.

ETA: However, volume booster levels set in the horizontal bar appear to "stick" after switching to the vertical bar. So, while you can't use the volume booster control with vertical tabs, you may be able to use the feature if you set a tab's level in the horizontal bar.

@KAPUT06 Hi! Similar problem here, just on Windows. Yesterday in the middle of the day the VPN in my normal Opera stopped working. And ofc couldn't find any info on it. So today on my laptop I have installed brand new Opera - on this laptop I never had any Opera installed. Again, no VPN. So I have taken it out of home to check if this is my ISP problem. I have connected it in some other place to totally other ISP and guess what? No VPN ... 😢

@Megatron2011 Opera GX allows you to do some modifications.

Yes, it can be seen as a kind of site blocker. It's still a project under development, and I'm planning to diversify it further.
