Good point, would be useful to have such an option right in the update settings, and to choose myself when I update my browser and when not. Good point !

Consuming RAMOpera for Windows
I noticed something interesting to my opera browser:
I open an instance, and I open two tabs: hotmail, and a yahoo.
When I am checking opera in TM, I see ~ 350 MB at opera process.
When I check all ports opened by opera with CurrPorts (from http://www.nirsoft.net/) I see a lots of active connections. Ok.I close all tabs. Opera browser remain opened in speed dial. Ok.
After few minutes, ~ 2-3, I see whole connection eaten by opera as closed (in CurrPorts). Ok.
But the RAM eaten is still ~300 MB, 280 MB ... for more than 40 minutes ... which is not happen at Chrome, or IE. Of course. after a while, Opera release RAM, and step down to 80MB, which is ok ... but why Opera browser doesn't release RAM right after all connection is closed ? -

@domovnik I know what they say and think: from security reason ... but I guess they must let you decide when to update your browser. Definitely.

RE: Not open a new tab when is in "Speed dial" stateOpera for Windows
@flaviu2 said in Not open a new tab when is in "Speed dial" state:
And I click a link, somewhere, in order to open that web page.
I meant, I click a link in other application, let say Notepad++, or Word, or whatever. Then, that page is opened in Opera browser, beside existing "Speed Dial" page, or, if I already have a "Speed Dial" ready, why this new page is open in a new tab ?

Not open a new tab when is in "Speed dial" stateOpera for Windows
I noticed something which I think could be improved:
I have Opera opened, with no page loaded, "Speed Dial" only. Opera is my default browser. And I click a link, somewhere, in order to open that web page. A new tab page is opened, beside "Speed Dial". Does make sense ? Why I have that new page as long I have already "Speed dial" tab ? I expected to open that web page in an existing "Speed Dial" tab, not in separate tab ... do you know what I mean ?
I am using Opera 75.0.3969.149 on Win 10 64 bit.

Saving pages as mhtml shows html in save as dialgOpera for Windows
I am using Opera for desktop, latest version: 74.0.3911.107
I want to save mhtml files, from a web page:
But when I save the page, is html file, not mhtml, which is a bug.

68.0.3618.125 uses less memoryOpera for Windows
I don't know what you have done on Opera browser version 68.0.3618.125, but it consume less memory than previous ones, and run faster ! Please give this feedback to developers to bookmark their work, because they have done something good !
Congratulations !
P.S. I am running this Opera version on Win10 Ver. 1909

RE: Download item that takes long is not visible when other is filling the download listOpera for Windows
@mathias87 said in Download item that takes long is not visible when other is filling the download list:
@flaviu2 I still don't get your "problem". If your download list is too full to see the active downloads, just remove the completed ones. It's logical.
I guess is a bug tough: see my post from here: https://forums.opera.com/topic/40010/download-item-that-takes-long-is-not-visible-when-other-is-filling-the-download-list/6
There is a situation when the active download has disappeared.

@mathias87 said in Download item that takes long is not visible when other is filling the download list:
@flaviu2 No, I don't know what you mean.
Just follow these steps and you'll see what I'm talking about:
- Start a download that take long time (hours).
- Start another download that take short time.
Repeat step 2 until the long time download is not visible in the floating download list from right side:
Ok. When you go in downloads tab:
You will see all active and completed downloads. But, if the active download is stopped (from network errors for instance), you will not see or find the active download in the download tab and in download floating list either.
Yes, I forgot to specify this detail in the original post, I noticed just now.

@sgunhouse said in Download item that takes long is not visible when other is filling the download list:
Isn't there an option to remove completed downloads?
To remove completed downloads I would consider a solution. The idea is to have all downloads in my lists, completed or not. But yes, if I clear completed downloads, I can see my active downloads. In this way, I have lost my completed downloads.

Download item that takes long is not visible when other is filling the download listOpera for Windows
Download manager: I download something that is taken hours. Mean time, I made another downloads, several, in such a way that download items that takes long time is not visible in the download list available from up-right side. Find, but when I open Downloads page, this download item that takes long time is not visible at all. You know what I mean ?
If this download manager is built in C++ I can work on this task myself, for free.
