I've stopped using Opera. The developers somehow built the only browser in the world with a single-threaded architecture.

Simple example:

Open Opera.
It will try to reload all tabs from your last session — that's great!
Now try to move the Opera window and enjoy the Windows 3.1 era.
When there's a network operation, the entire window freezes. Even with vanilla JavaScript, it's hard to achieve that, so kudos!

My system:

Mac Studio M3 Ultra
macOS 14.5.1 (Sonoma)
Opera for Linux

Hi everyone,

Since the older threads regarding this topic are closed, I am opening a new one because this feature is still urgently needed.

Currently, Opera separates Speed Dials by device under "Other Speed Dials". While using the standard bookmark bar works okay as a workaround on Windows, bookmarks on Android are not very user-friendly or quickly accessible. On mobile, the Speed Dial is the absolute heart of navigation.

We desperately need an option to truly sync or mirror the Speed Dial between Windows and Android so that we have the exact same start page on all devices.

Could the development team please consider implementing a real, seamless Speed Dial synchronization?

@magpies If I remember correctly it was removed a while ago since it's no longer needed to get cashback from your purchases.

I didn't do anything other than let the software update to its current version.

Maybe redesign and simplify the settings ui rather than looking like a cluttered arrangement of toggles like what it is now.

If that's your home network and it only happens on Opera, that sounds like an extension. Disable all extensions and check again
