Disregard this post. I found the notification setting for that in my profile. However, I'm not too happy about having to totally disable that since now I'll never be notified about any sign ins that could potentially be from someone other than me.
I've never been able to get sync to even sync anything on Mac or Windows. You've at least gotten farther than me. It tells me my password and username are wrong (they're not) so I change them, and go to sign in with the new credentials and it still says its wrong. The ONE time I got it to work (a couple of weeks ago) there was ZERO data for it to sync (even though I had data on another laptop). So yeah.. problems here too. Lets hope this keeps getting noise and they start fixing it.
The is a solution I read in a Chrome forum, which works here too:
Place the mouse pointer over a suggested item, the cursor is position at the beginning of the item. Press Shift + Del and it will be deleted.

Burnout426, thanks for the advice, but I'm not about to go messing around with any files right now.
It looks like it might have been a weird temporary glitch with Opera PC since I haven't been able to reproduce it on my end either with my extensions off and on. So far all my downloads don't re-download when I clear the list. But I'm still running into the re-downloading of downloads when they are removed from the history in Opera Android off and on.
