@bothpills Thanks for posting that! It was the only solution that worked for me. I was going crazy trying to get the flow to work after having to reset my sync data yet again.

RE: Advertising link at top of start pageOpera for Android
Updated to 80.1.4244.77335 today and now, a whole bunch of ad sites showed up at the top of my homepage! If Opera weren't the only browser (other than Chrome) whose sync function has the least issues for me, I'd ditch it for good

Pandora slows down opera and causes "Out of Memory" errorOpera for Windows
I was attempting to update my sub for Pandora using Opera. Opera suddenly started running ultra slow when I got to subcription page then out of no where, an "Out of Memory" error page popped up.
Pandora was the only tab I had open, no other tabs or windows were open. I have the latest version of Opera and am on Windows 10.

RE: Topic for sites being detected as fraud/malwareOpera for computers
It's been blocking archiveofourown.org everytime I click on a link referring to the site.
Any other ao3 links on other pages don't block the site, just the ones on Tumblr.

RE: When attempting to add bookmark the bookmark folder is emptyOpera for Android
@anaristos Glad to help. I already had Opera set as default way before this happened so I'm guessing it's probably an issue an update since I've had no problems until recently.

RE: When attempting to add bookmark the bookmark folder is emptyOpera for Android
It's the same with me when using the dark theme. I have to switch to the light theme in order to be able to see my bookmark folders if I want to add to them.

RE: Change Password now I can't log in using the browser!!!Opera account
@slytheringirl I had to upgrade my copy of Opera (which I had been avoiding because I despise what Opera has become over the past 2-3 years) as well as reset my sync data to get Opera to let me sign in. This sadly seems to be a permanent occurrance/issue with sync since the devs no longer care to listen to their users and actually fix sync. It's a shame really since Opera is the only browser (after Dolphin killed their Firefox extension years ago) that did sync properly at first, now it's as bad as all the others with syncing to android.

Change Password now I can't log in using the browser!!!Opera account
I changed my password due to the suspicious email I posted about and now I can't login to sync my bookmark or passwords! All I get when trying to use the browser login is an error message "An error occured with the login process. Try again" on the windows version and "Incorrect password" (when using New password or "Temporary server error. Please try again." on Android. It's the same if I try to login using my Google or Facebook accounts to sign in.
Edit: Changed my password again using the "forgot password" link and Still Can't Log In !!! I can only log in throught the web pages not the browsers
Edit 2: Tried making a New account. Still no luck!!! What the damned hell is going on?! How can I fix this?!!!

Suspicious emailOpera account
I received an email from Opera claiming I requested to reset my password. I Did Not Request a Password Reset! I'm beginning to think Opera got hacked. Again. Looks like I'm going to have to change yet another password thanks to these scum!!

RE: [Solved]Being bombarded with 'We've noticed a new sign in' emailsOpera account
Disregard this post. I found the notification setting for that in my profile. However, I'm not too happy about having to totally disable that since now I'll never be notified about any sign ins that could potentially be from someone other than me.

[Solved]Being bombarded with 'We've noticed a new sign in' emailsOpera account
I had recently accidentally factory reset my tablet and had to restore my copy of Opera browser on that tablet. I also had to reset my sync data yet again due to the reinstallaiton of Opera Android caused my copy of Opera on Windows 10 to create a duplicate Speed Dial entry for my tablet. This has turned out to be a major hassle since I am now constantly being bombarded with emails from Opera notifying me of a new sign in Every Single Time I signed in to both browsers and even to Opera sync and the Opera forums! It's annoying. The windows version of Opera I am using has been installed on the same machine I had since my hard drive replacement and has never been totally 100% uninstalled then reinstalled. I only downgraded it back to Opera 58 due to my dislike of the latest update a few months ago. I understand that factory resetting an android device might cause these emails to be generated when I signed back in, but why would they be generated for a PC version of Opera that has never been factory reset?! Is there a way I can stop these emails from spamming my inbox without changing my email address or password?

RE: Disbled autoupdates but still getting nagged to update!!Opera for Windows
@temkem Tried your suggestion of adding disable-background-networking to my desktop shortcut and so far Opera hasn't nagged me to update. Not too happy about losing the ability to update extensions, but it's a small price to pay to stop Opera's harrassing me to update.
@leocg I had already deleted all files named auto update. I have been doing that for a while now. I never rename them, just delete them. Also I could find no temp folders for Opera.

Disbled autoupdates but still getting nagged to update!!Opera for Windows
I rolled back to version 58.0.3135.132 because I got tired of constantly having to switch the sidebar off and on when I needed it also I did not like the way Opera 62 screwed with the Speed Dial (there was a huge blank space above my speed dials).
I deleted every entry marked autoupdate or update in every Opera folder I could find plus deleting Opera from Task Scheduler. However, I still get the notification to update Opera at the top of the main Opera menu. The only way I can get rid of it is if I click on Update & Recovery in the menu, but it's only temporary since it just pops right back up if I open Opera again. It's annoying and I DO NOT want to update Opera at all!! Is there any way at all I can stop Opera from nagging me to update every time I open it?

RE: Sync tabs icon missing on sidebarOpera for Windows
@panosv I wish I knew myself what's going on with sync. It's been such a hassle trying to get anything sync at all these days. I don't think it was an intentional change on the devs' part, but a bug within the system that no one seems to care enough about to fix.
-
RE: Sync tabs icon missing on sidebarOpera for Windows
@panosv Have you tried signing out and signing back in, because the sync icon now disappears if you're already signed in when you start Opera. Signing out and signing back in makes it come back and stay for as long as you keep Opera up, then it'll disappear again when you close Opera. In my opinion, sync has been broken for a long time now and the devs have no real intenion of ever fixing it. I had to reset my data for the umpteenth time recently because it mysteriously removed my tablet (and no, I did not do it myself). As I keep telling ppl here, sync does whatever it wants when it wants. It's a miracle if ANYTHING gets synced at all.

RE: Bulk delete of history itemsSuggestions and feature requests
@idontknowaname476 Until then, I suggest you use the V7 history extension. I've been using it for a while now and I can't imagine being without it.

RE: No notifications from youtube.Opera for Windows
I think the problem may be with Youtube itself and not Opera. I do have a few subscriptions and I don't always get notified for new subscription videos from YT's app.

RE: Re-import bookmarks from Firefox.Opera for Windows
@browzer1 Any bookmarks imported should be added to Opera under the Imported from Firefox folder that gets created; this includes the ones you mentioned that are not on Opera. If you have bookmarks that are the same on BOTH Firefox and Opera, then yes you will have duplicates that will have to be deleted manually. You will not lose any bookmarks on Opera by importing so it's safe to import your Firefox bookmarks.
