@arvindranga-69: Hi, thanks for the report - we're really sorry to hear that happened.
Did it happen immediately after an update? Or was there anything specific you did just before the tabs disappeared? Any extra details you can share would help us investigate and try to reproduce the issue. -

When will you fix a bug where being at google meet video call you switch to another tab and switching back to gmeet tab crashes the browser?

Not so stable. Yesterday worked just fine but today it won't even open. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, I've read other people's posts about this problem.

@daria19 This update has created crashes not solved them. I never had Opera GX crash once till this update. Now it's consistent if I used Picture in Picture it crashes immediately. It only works if I enable the Video Popout Redesign, this wouldn't be so bad if the Video Popout Redesign actually worked with RTX Super Resolution like it's supposed to (doesn't matter which ANGLE API or Nvidia settings, it simply doesn't work. Not a problem on other browsers I've tested either). That's why I was using the "old" Video Popout cause at least that one worked properly but now Opera GX crashes with it. These problems are snowballing.

@kiryu-3: Yeah I'm also having this issue, it was fine and then I updated it and now I can't get it to open, it's doing the splash screen startup and then it tries to open and then closes itself. Have you by chance found a solution?

@Kerisillon No, unfortunately. I've also asked in other posts and it seems there's multiple people with this same problem but no fixes that I know of. I guess we will have to wait for another update or patch.

up until the last update my browsers worked fine chrome opera etc. but after the update nothing works not opera not chrome only edge is a microsoft issue or an issue with the update itself

@RocketAssasin Opera has no effect on other software, so if Chrome is having issues that is something else. Whether it is Chrome or Microsoft, I couldn't say.

@sgunhouse i think its a microsoft issue because no matter what i do nothing works except edge

@Kiryu-3 I don't have the issue here on Win 10x64 in Opera Stable (Portable).
But there's an assumption on forum (from reddit where's a whole bunch of comments for the same issue) that this relates to the 'MS Family Safety' affected MS account.

Seems like Opera One and some other browsers are unable to launch for some users when Microsoft Family Safety is enabled;If you're facing this issue but are unsure if you even have that stuff enabled, here are a couple things you can try:
Allow Opera One in MS Family Safety
-
Go to https://familysafety.microsoft.com/ or open the Family Safety mobile app
-
Select the user that's encountering this issue
-
To allow other browsers;
- Disable "Filter inappropriate websites" under the Edge tab OR;
- Go to Windows tab --> Apps & Games --> Unblock Opera One
Try logging out of your MS Account on Windows & log back in
- Open the Windows menu (Windows key)
- Click on your profile on bottom left
- Sign out
Rename the Opera.exe to something else
- Find Opera.exe by right-clicking the shortcut on your desktop --> Open file location
- Rename it to something else like Opera1.exe
- Launch it
You can then try renaming it back to opera.exe - we’ve seen one case of this process fixing the issue where renaming it back didn’t break it

Why did Opera start opening tabs in the same window? How can I set it up so that a tab opens in a new window?
