RE: Opera 115Blogs
@ncyc90t58t4f: Thank you for your feedback! The delay in opening links in Speed Dial might sometimes be related to issues with your computer rather than the browser itself. Factors like active browser extensions, accumulated cache and cookies, or limited system resources can contribute to slower performance. Disabling unnecessary extensions, clearing the browser’s cache, or closing unused applications might help. If your internet connection is slow, that could also play a role. Let us know if the issue continues - we’re here to help and are always looking for ways to improve the experience!

RE: Opera keeps crashing a lot over last few monthsGeneral
@romasio said in Opera keeps crashing a lot over last few months:
As per title, I can't understand why Opera started crashing a lot over last few months. Usually it gets triggered by a user action, most often by typing in the address bar, but not always. Sometimes it is some other user action, like opening a new tab.
Seeing the same across multiple laptops: work and personal, Windows 11 and MacOS and the same on my desktop PC + Win11.
I've tried disabling all extensions, logging out of Opera Sync etc. Submitted a bunch of crash reports via Opera's opera://crashes.
It's driving me crazy. Was working fine a couple of months back.
Anyone experiencing the same?Hi there, thanks for sharing the details! I understand how frustrating repeated crashes like this can be, especially across multiple devices.
To help us investigate further, could you please provide Crash IDs from the opera://crashes page? These IDs allow our team to look up specific crash logs and get a clearer picture of what’s going wrong.

RE: My opera isn't openingBugs
Seems like Opera One and some other browsers are unable to launch for some users when Microsoft Family Safety is enabled;
If you're facing this issue but are unsure if you even have that stuff enabled, here are a couple things you can try:
Allow Opera One in MS Family Safety
-
Go to https://familysafety.microsoft.com/ or open the Family Safety mobile app
-
Select the user that's encountering this issue
-
To allow other browsers;
- Disable "Filter inappropriate websites" under the Edge tab OR;
- Go to Windows tab --> Apps & Games --> Unblock Opera One
Try logging out of your MS Account on Windows & log back in
- Open the Windows menu (Windows key)
- Click on your profile on bottom left
- Sign out
Rename the Opera.exe to something else
- Find Opera.exe by right-clicking the shortcut on your desktop --> Open file location
- Rename it to something else like Opera1.exe
- Launch it
You can then try renaming it back to opera.exe - we’ve seen one case of this process fixing the issue where renaming it back didn’t break it

RE: Opera 119.0.5497.131 Stable updateBlogs
@arvindranga-69: Hi, thanks for the report - we're really sorry to hear that happened.
Did it happen immediately after an update? Or was there anything specific you did just before the tabs disappeared? Any extra details you can share would help us investigate and try to reproduce the issue. - Blogs

RE: Opera 121.0.5572.0 developer updateBlogs
@parduspars: Thanks for the report! I haven’t been able to reproduce the big font issue on my side, but I’ll keep an eye on it and investigate what might be causing it. Noting that it only appears in recent versions and not in stable is helpful. Let me know if you notice any additional details!

RE: Opera 121.0.5572.0 developer updateBlogs
@andrew84: Hi! This was a crash related to DNA-122862. We didn’t have clear steps to reproduce it earlier, but it’s already been fixed now. Thanks for your patience!

RE: Opera 119.0.5497.110 Stable updateBlogs
@frozenfan53: Thanks for the detailed update! That’s really helpful. We’re aware of some limitations with Spotify integration and the miniplayer behavior, and we’re actively looking into improvements. Your feedback about needing to start playback from Opera’s player and the issue with repositioning the miniplayer is especially useful. We appreciate you taking the time to explain everything so clearly!
