I understand why Yandex would be a default and unchangeable search engine in Russia, but forcing other countries to use their search engine is meaningless and unreasonable. Why do we have to follow these regulations if we live in a completely separate state that just happens to have Russian as a majority language? Please remove this limitation for everyone but RU region. Thank you for your attention.

@tlmurray The “Speed Dial” folder can have multiple subfolders, but those subfolders can’t have any folders. As in, you can only go one level deep.

Let me share my two cents how I've solved this problem.

The issue is that new snap versions of opera lack libqxcb.so/libqwayland*.so/others qt plugins in snap container. These plugins are installed in main OS at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/platforms/ path but they are inaccessible from recent opera snaps for some reason. Older snaps do not have any problems with them.

Quick-and-dirty fix I use (for xcb variant):
mkdir ~/snap/opera/qt5-hack/platforms/ cp /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/platforms/libqxcb.so ~/snap/opera/qt5-hack/platforms/ QT_PLUGIN_PATH=/home/user/snap/opera/qt5-hack opera
And voila! - opera works again.

Proposed better solution: either ship these plugins in snap or connect to kf5_core snap.

Hi @lu-menard, does this issue still appear in your case in the latest Stable (73.0.3856.257) ?
Of course you also have to update the codecs package to appropriate version, before checking it.

As, @ bobc02 says, I also love this browser as it is compatible enough.
I have recommended the Opera browser to many.
Yet, there are some features remaining but it works like a charm.
The VPN in opera is also free and works very fast, unlike other VPNs.

Adobe told ZDNet that the killswitch code was added months before in previous releases and that this last Flash update only modifies the language used in the prompt that will ask users to uninstall the app."

That pretty much seals the fate of Flash. A user attempting to bypass the kill switch by installing an old Flash version (assuming they can even figure out and find a version prior to the kill-switch introduction) will only result in them using a Flash version with known security holes - the older the version, the more holes.
