The bug is still not fixed. The bottom bar is stuck in the background image.

This extension has been disabled because it is no longer supported. UBlock Origin. Is this a bug? 65818db9-fa9b-4b4d-9217-e5c246d62737-image.png

@sicu220 Google updated the Manifest to V3 which affects the way uBlock Origin functions,
UBlock Origin still works in non Chrome Browsers e.g. Firefox and other Firefox based browsers.
You can try Operas Built in AdBlocker or try other extensions, Adblock Plus or Ghostery from the Opera Store or search on the Google Store for different AdBlockers.

            @sicu220

            Thank you for the link.
I cannot understand why there was a Pop up message after I installed Opera 125 about uBlock no longer being supported.

I will try the other extensions and see how they go.
uBlock was very good and definetly the best I had tried.

Another stable update and apparently most (if not all) of the bugs newly introduced in 124 have not been fixed. Then I'm greeted by the message that most of my extensions have been disabled. Disappointing.

@Kilian01 Google have updated the Manifest Version to V3 for extensions.
It is going to be up to the Developers if they update the extensions.

My apologies over the Holiday Message Widget hiding it now sticks which it did not do in the previous version of 124.

@fitzydj just try enabling it again on the Extensions page.

@andrew84 Thanks Andrew84, I am trying Ghostery and will switch to AdBlock Plus to try also. I don't know if its scaremongering but I have read that there maybe security risks in running unsupported Extensions and prefer to be cautious.

@fitzydj MS Edge is on 142 version and uBlock works just fine there, I didn't see any disabling popups there.
I guess it's simply Opera's flaw they didn't remove the popup (despite of it was reported also in Developer thread).

                          Deprecating V2 extensions already???
I commented about it here: https://forums.opera.com/topic/87364/deprecating-v2-extensions-already

                              Has it been withdrawn ?

                              I can't make it update.

There are links for Linux, Mac etc as well.

@mathias87 No Issues with the Install on my Windows 11 Pro. I had rolled back to the previous version 124.0.5705.42 after the Purple Holiday Widget at the top of my Speed Dial Home Page would not stay closed.
You can go to https://get.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/ and download the full installer.

@leocg I understand that you can reenable the V2 extensions.
I have read that there maybe potential security risks running older V2 extensions that have not been updated so I have decided to be cautious and only run V3 extensions.
I only run two extra extensions an Adblocker currently trying Ghostery and Antigram
