Hi @domovnik, you can still turn it off by disabling
opera:flags#sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar
, and restarting the browser. Also it affects only extensions made for the sidebar, the rest of them are still working the same way as before, and displayed in e.g. toolbar or address bar. -

Hi @teknomobil, @vfbfan, @andrew84, @firuz-u7, @ohmanger, @james438, regarding the issues with the new video pop-out, you can still use the old pop-out implemented by the Opera. All you have to do, is to disable the two flags mentioned here by @kened, then restart the browser. Important is to disable both flags to avoid the issue with freezing/pausing videos in the pop-out.

@l33t4opera hi
I've installed the old version, I'm using Linux, I won't update Opera anymore. This is a great nonsense, they are removing beautiful features.

@teknomobil I see, but the old feature is still there, not removed, so you can simply use it in the latest version. You can download the DEB or RPM package of the new version, extract it to some not default directory, and use it in parallel with the old one, not to mention, that it's based on a new, more secure version of Chromium
;-)

Up til recently I have used always used Iinternet Explorer as my preferred browser but some sites don't like it now. So Opera has become my default one but the one that really bugs me is that clicking the middle wheel of my Intellimouse Optical mouse will open up anew tab in the bar at the top of the Opera page but will not move directly into the new page without actually moving the cursor to the page. What am I missing if anything please?

@kamil7165: Here here! The new sidebar behaviour is too clunky. You cannot reorder icons. Too much space wasted. It steals space from the tabs bar and it is not even resizeable as neededl. (It can be resized, but only up to a point - which is insufficient for me).
Please, opera staff, fix this new bar or use the "Extensions bar" code, instead of the browser bar, for this unified functionality.
It would be more functional and less space-hungry, while still allowing for the unified functionality you're seeking.
I can wait on an older version, but not forever.p.s. Dear opera makers, please remember that there is still people with monitors less than FHD, and also that there is people whom do not like to browse full-screen.
Would you cater to those audiences, please? -

I have the same issue, I used ctrl + shift + s to open V7 bookmarks.
Now the browser crashes, or does nothing, when I press the keyboard combination, on both Windows 10 / Xubuntu 18.04. -

I asked a serious question and I get stupid and unhelpful remark. If that your best effort just go away and leave the actual issue I raised to true experts. -

This release is awful. The video pop-up doesn't work on most sites anymore for me and I'm experiencing crashes all the time now.

On previous release 65.0.3467.78 I posted the following comment:
"""I tried today to open this URL:
https://www.costacrociere.it/login.html
and I was answered with a blank page (after a very momentary shadow of login page).
It works well on Chrome 79.0.3945.88 and any other browser I have on my notebook under Win 7 Pro. (MS Internet Explorer, Firefox, Maxthon), and it worked well also with previous Opera releases."""I see that the problem remains still unfixed in the present release.
Couldn't you gently pay your attention to this issue?
