The tab width is so small... you can barely see the entire page title.

@ghirahim: Not sure where you are getting this but I doubt this will ever make it to the main Opera. What concept designs? There have been a ton over the years. The most prominent ones are Opera Touch and Opera GX.

@max1c Opera One is not a concept browser, it's Opera. Current it's the Developer version of Opera, but it will be the stable version in the future.

@leocg: I guess that explains why they have abandoned the current interface and everything is broken.

@op2 The most logical reason to think about is that the development of Opera One made Opera postpone the Chromium intakes, what led to them being out of sync with Chromium releases.

@edmarcio Just Opera. At least for now there's nothing about Opera GX also getting the new UI

@max1c Opera Neon was the only concept browser released by Opera so far.

Opera Touch is still being developed and gets regular updates. The same for Opera GX.
They aren't concept browsers, they are browsers for different audiences.

Tested it and it's mostly great. I like the new interface and all the features. However, it is not possible to pull tabs out of the window anymore? That's a pretty significant downgrade.

At first glance this looks awful, desktop apps are supposed to look like desktop apps. Also why are the tabs no longer tabs and are now buttons. Opera stopped being good with version 15, and yet is still the best out there, sad state of things 😞

                        From https://www.opera.com/one

Opera One (currently early-access developer version) is a completely redesigned browser, planned to replace the flagship Opera Browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux later this year.

@weilan: agreed, the waste of space was the first thing I noticed, even comparing against Opera Stable/Beta

I can't check it right now because of win 8.
Does it have light mode also? Or just dark mode like on screenshots.

@ghirahim: Facepalm is definitely right. Wouldn't expect anything less from someone who doesn't know anything about Opera and a ton of concepts they have been releasing over the years on all platforms.

@arturo182 Agree. Tabs shouldn't look like buttons.

                                      Interesting.
Usually when there were requests regarding the tabs grouping/stacking, users were answered that workspaces are for these purposes. Now tabs grouping is presented as one of the main innovations.

Since Opera One is modular, would it be possible to make the address bar, sidebar and tab bar movable? I would like to be able to move the tab bar to the left, the address bar to the bottom and the sidebar to the right.
                                        This suggestion is very specific.

@max1c: I know all about concepts. I have been using Opera for over 20 years. But the fact is that you have problems with reading comprehension.
