As mentioned in https://forums.opera.com/topic/60034/can-you-keep-using-opera-on-windows-7-and-8-1-since-microsoft-no-longer-supports-them/1, Opera 95 is the last Opera version with support for Windows 7 and 8.1.

All of a sudden the scroll speed has like tripled. Any way to put it back to how it used to be?

Speed dial (and also browser history) is really slow to load, after starting the browser it takes almost 20 seconds to load, it's very annoying and old problem.

@xdynamite: I definitely agree, I've been using it for a long time and it's getting worse in this respect. It closes fast and before it loads it with more than 20 seconds. True, I have a lot of tabs in the background, and bookmarks ... but still, it used to be much better. I noticed that if you disable "scrolling tabs when multiple tabs are open", the responsiveness is much better (I don't mean just loading the browser at startup).

Opera 95 is the last version you can use with Windows 7 or 8.1
So are you going to make some built-in block for the autoupdate on Win 7/8 after last update for 95 version?
Or it's already integrated in Chromium?
Otherwise it will break the installation (if previously the auto update was not blocked manually). -

@xdynamite: Imo it happens after History file reaches a large size, or History is holding too many months.

On my computer after update, all the favicons are looking bad. See here:

@xdynamite Yes, I agree it is a bug. But, have you reinstalled with a new profile or reusing the same profile? If it is the same problem I pointed, there's no need to use a new profile, as cleaning History (or deleting History file on profile folder) should fix startup time.
