I much prefer the traditional Opera to the proposed new "improved" one which I think is ugly. I've tried the AI and had difficulties not least actually being able to log on to the services. Frankly I don't see the point of AI in a browser as basic as it is currently: if I want information I like to search for it manually myself rather than have clipped versions of it served up by an not-to-smart neural net or algorithm: I much prefer managing my tabs manually as well and wonder how many longstanding Opera users feel the same way. Only time will tell by maybe the time has come for me to move to Vivaldi. I would be sorry to do this because, for a very long time, Opera has always been The browser for me.

@ricardob: Maybe there are too many different kinds of Opera browser and too few developers to keep up with the all these days.

@nuiin I'm still unable to use Aria which always give me the following message: "There are many others joining right now, so I’ve added you to the waiting list. I'll notify you in the coming days as soon as access is available." ChatGPT is working but not Aria. Weird.

RE: Can;t edit/delete Speed DialsOpera for Windows
@amp40 Never seen this particular problem with this context menu before. Something gone wrong with some Javascript which pop-up the Bookmark context menu when the right-top circular "button" get clicked by the look of it, which really shouldn't be hard to fix if you are familiar with scripts. I'm getting the problem on a Linux box and am wondering if the fault is OS related. Time will tell I suppose.

Until this gets fixed you can edit the Speed Dial tiles using the related bookmarks. Not ideal but a work around until the next update.

Still can't turn the VPN on and off with the badge in the address bar. You have to enable it in settings (badge appears) and if you turn the VPN off using the badge menu the badge vanishes, the VPN remains on, and you have to go to settings to turn the VPN off and turn it on again. Inconvenient and annoying considering the free VPN is one of Opera's unique selling points.

RE: Can;t edit/delete Speed DialsOpera for Windows
@amp40 Tried the solution and it works on Opera in Linux. That was a weird one that I don't think I would ever have found a fix for myself. Thanks man. I was seriously considering ditching Opera for Vivaldi.

The option to use "Use bigger tiles" in settings for the speed dial would be good rather than having to squint at tiny tiles on smaller laptop screens.

RE: VPN badge Not showing in address barOpera for Windows
@robkw Thanks! Good suggestions. I really love Opera and have used it for years but as more and more features get added more and more glitches seem to be appearing which don't get fixed which is irritating and not what I've come to expect from Opera developers. I only usually use stable releases but more and more "stable" today seems more like what was "developer" yesterday. Hopefully things will improve. If you need a free VPN to use with another browser check out Proton VPN; it's free, fast and has a really polished Windows client. Cheers.

RE: The future of browsing: Opera One, the first AI-powered browser is ready for downloadBlogs
When enabling or disabling the VPN, the top-left speed dial tile gets disabled. Minimising the browser window and back again cures it. No idea why it's happening. It's no biggy but something can't be quite right. This is on Linux. My bet is that is doesn't happen on Windows.

@ocirnes Whenever I try to use Aria I get the message: "There are many others joining right now, so I’ve added you to the waiting list. I'll notify you in the coming days as soon as access is available." Am I the only one affected or are others being denied access to Aria for unspecified reasosn? It's been like this for me for days.

@burnout426 Cheers! I use Linux and Opera hasn't been behaving like that for the longest time. Several users have complained about it but nothing has been done which is a pity but very Opera.

AI in a browser might be good if users could actually access itFeedback
Every time I try to use Aria or ChatGPT lately I can't access them because they're too busy.
Aria has politely put me in a queue to use the system. I think it's kind of funny that Opera users have to make an appointment or wait in a queue to use Aria, and wonder what use these new features will be unless they are ramped up enough to cope with demand. Just sayin'.

I just wish that the browser would save its geometry when closing so that when it is opened it appears in the same place with the same height and width. Also the option to have bigger tiles on the speed dial would be nice.
