No, you're not alone - I had what looks like exactly the same issue, albeit on Xubuntu/Xfce.

I did raise a bug report, but it's dangling, alone and unloved. To summarise, I saw this arrive with 99.0.4788.31 (the same as you), but reverting to an earlier version fixed it immediately (I went for 98.0.4759.6 from here). Upgrade again, and the problem came back - downgrade, and it vanished.

What seemed to fix properly it was clearing out my profile (~/.config/opera). I'm assuming there's a change in a particular flag (e.g. HW acceleration settings, or how shaders are handled) that isn't carrying over properly between versions.

You'll have to handle restoring passwords, bookmarks, extensions and the like, obviously.

I am amazed this has been requested for more than two years already and devs still think that not being able to disable this simple feature is a great addition to the browser. I have to search through Google's website because I am a Pole and a good chunk of my queries start from the "w" word. Is promoting Xzibit really much more profitable than answering people's requests?

you can also click the wheel if you have one or the middle mouse button if you are on a laptop that has that or such an old mouse.

some laptops also allow to treat click both mousekeys to middle mouse button.

@danny6604 Nothing as far as I know. Something on your system may be preventing Opera to write the data on the disk or is removing it.

You can't. Opera VPN is only for Opera itself. You'd need some other VPN to work with IDM - one that is not part of the browser.

. I agree, Opera desperately needs a button to force a manual sync in situations like this. There is a delay in syncing between android and pc with me most of the time but, it does have current sync data when it does sync. Resetting sync will erase everything so I don't think that's what you'd want to do. I would just keep trying logging in and out and hope for the best. It sometimes makes me log out and back on several times before it'll sync anything. It's a pain when that happens, but sync does eventually work.
What's up with the 'turbo' mode, how do I know if it's working?
