Hi,

Do you have the ad-blocker turned on? If so, could you try disabling it on these sites (hit the shield in the address bar and click the switch) to see if ad-blocking affects this?

I double this question.

The 3 months limitation was basically the only thing making me move from Chrome to something else, and since Opera uses the same engine, I am really concerned if it's also affected by this limitation.

Maybe someone could check their history, and also check if entries older then 3 months (if any) can be found by typing in the address bar the same way as newer ones can?

Yes above traffic lights is does work, but thats still part of the 3mm high zone.
What I would like is to be able to easily click on the giant blank spaces on the webpage, rather than having to go in for keyhole surgery.

ATMO I have sidebar. Having a 1cm black stripe down my screen is ok but it's not the best usability in the world. I'm on a laptop so real estate is at a premium...

IMAP or POP? On POP mails, Opera expects to keep copies even after they are removed from the server, so there would be nothing new here. For IMAP Opera would need to be set to download and keep local copies of the messages (which would take a little time for 5000 messages) and then would require the user to actually move them to a different account so that they won't disappear when removed from the server.
