Great job, I did update my dev version right now
I'm curious, even if that article was posted 6 months ago...... will Opera surely continue having uBO after June 2025, after Google cuts MV2 support?

@pilis00: Thanks for updating your dev version! As for ad blocking, we recommend using Opera's built-in ad blocker. It's regularly updated, seamlessly integrated, and designed to work efficiently within our browser. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out!

DNA-122053 Text not visible when hovering over options in padlock popup
I think the fix is controversial

That means no more uBO, as how you promised back in October? :'((

@pilis00 That means that they don't have an answer yet, since keep support for Manifest V2 will depends on how costly it will be.
If they keep support only for uBO it would be godly, as how Brave does with other 3 addons.
I really hope they keep their promise :'(( -

Don't be naive. If they have their own ad blocker which they praise, there's no reason for them to keep some other 3rd party blocker exclusively.

@andrew84 Brave does the same thing with their shields too.
And they keep uBO. -

@pilis00 They (Brave) promise to support after 138? I think it's pointless to speculate now. When 138 comes, then it'll be clear. And nobody knows what efforts Chrome will be making to complicate the possible support.

@andrew84 Yes.
https://brave.com/blog/brave-shields-manifest-v3/For as long as we’re able (and assuming the cooperation of the extension authors), Brave will continue to support some privacy-relevant MV2 extensions—specifically AdGuard, NoScript, uBlock Origin, and uMatrix.

@leocg then in that case I hope they didn't write in vain that article about MV2 a few months ago.

@leocg probably in that case they should have directly said "Ok, we'll continue supporting MV2", or "No,we won't support MV2 addons anymore but we'll strengthen up our adblocker."
