Why did you remove Instant Search? It's one of the main reasons I use Opera instead of Chrome or Vivaldi. It's been a few hours since I updated Opera and I'm missing it a lot! There's any possibility of this feature coming back?

I completely agree with you! I don’t understand why Opera is intent on dropping Instant Search.

Suggestion about all messengers in Opera:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/39669/all-sidebar-messengers-in-the-form-of-extensions/7My proposals for changes in Opera (Google Document).
- There are not enough signs to put all the links here. -

For me:
- Deleted Instant Search - no! Please. Back this options!
- New highlighting on card duplicates and option to close take - very good.
- Search in tabs - I got used to the card menu. Maybe it would give users the option to choose between the tab menu and "search in tabs"?

@alexs And you do that often enough to justify having the list of closed tabs that close?
If he/she took the time to post about it here, it is quite obvious that he/she thinks that list is important ... can we be nice?
When people express their opinion about Instant Search being removed and the Tabs Menu being removed and how much they miss it, it is something that is significant to them. Otherwise, they would not bother posting here.
Pressing people as though such removals of features should not be important to them at all is counter-friendly and hardly helps Opera's image here in Opera Forums.
That's my 2 cents ... carry on!

@leocg useful [ yoos-fuhl ] adjective
• being of use or service; serving some purpose; advantageous, helpful, or of good effect.
Users will feel that browser functions have various degrees of usefulness.
For me, on a scale of one to ten: Having tabs is a 10, video pop-out a 0 and easy access to recently closed tabs a 6.2.
When you wonder “why” next time, try applying Occam's razor principle:
The user probably finds that thing useful.

@treego I undestarnd that it's something important for the person, I'm just trying to find out why. For me, having a list of recently close tabs - and not all closed tabs - may be useful but I don't see a reason for having it in a one click menu.
OK, that's fine ... your replies sometimes seem curt and unwilling to see the poster's point of view as being valid.
If Opera had the feature in the first place, Opera must have had a reason for it.
It would be nice if Opera would explain why they are removing features that others have found helpful and useful, sometimes.

@leocg we still don't have any answer about removing Instant Search. Why? It's such a great feature.
The worst part is this Search in Tabs "new" feature, which was also present in Instant Search, but I never used it. I really miss Googling with CTRL+SPACE instead opening a new tab like a cave man.

@treego Usually features are removed because they are not being used by a signicant number of people to justify keeping it. See https://forums.opera.com/post/207332

@leocg I don't agree that 'very few'. I saw enough complaints on forum in dedicated topic and there are enough complaints in the topics regarding the blog (I'd say 15-20 complaints from different users in total). And you can see pretty much complaints here right now.
You don't ask why 'snapshot' option is activated by one click and integrated into the address bar (you probably use it every hour at least then) -

Yes, I wonder too. Instead of 3 features we have 1 now and the most useless I should say. I never used "Instant Search" but I don't mind keeping it for those users who find it useful. Moreover, the Instant Search was switchable off.
