@yanta:
I stopped using Firefox for actions like this: Good features that made it a superior browser have been suppressed over time.
I really sorry! -

Block ads such as nano adblocker and defender extensions. Let's not see ad blocking alert and blocked ad boxes.

great, 65 uses ~25% cpu and ~100% gpu and many-many frames skipped on youtube
(version 64 used ~90% cpu and ~50% gpu and no freezes on youtube → so I downgrade to 64) -

I an not able to see PDF files from remote servers. I can open local PDF files.
Try for example with
https://www.vdl.lu/sites/default/files/media/document/AVL - plan du réseau 15.09.2019.pdfWorks fine for me in Opera 65.0.3467.42 64-bit on Windows 10.

I think it's about time Opera considers removing Extended Validation SSL indicators from the address bar, just like Chrome, Firefox and Safari have. The EV UI does not protect users as intended.

@l33t4opera: Thanks it made a big difference compared to the 90% plus CPU usage before.

@andrew84 Probably just an important fix backported to 64 for those still using it and maybe for GX.

@andrew84 Interestingly, in this Assembly, when you hover over the tab on which the video or audio is played, the CPU load does not change.

@temkem: You mean it stays overloaded in both (with and without sound animation) cases. I didn't test the new 64 build, but new 65 build (65.0.3467.48) works similarly to Developer version (but I may be wrong).
It's worth checking the CPU load in Windows's task manager or better to use Opera internal task Manager (Shift+Esc)? -

@andrew84 I mean, there remains a high CPU load, regardless of whether I hover the mouse cursor or not on the tab on which the audio or video is played.

@andrew84 This is how it looks on Opera 65.0.3467.48 when playing audio. It can be seen that when I hover the mouse over the tab(just hover the mouse, not mute), the load on the processor is reduced.
