@burnout426 I will save this info for future reference but my opera is nothing like this. Opera Stable has about 45 folders and with sub folders, it has 360 but none are default or profile. Sessions only has the current session, nothing historical. See images below:opera2.jpg

@Dartinha Unfortunately, once Opera Sync data gets overwritten like this, there’s usually no way to restore the previous version from their servers. Opera Sync doesn’t keep multiple restore points or version history for recovery.

What you can try though is:

Log in on another device where you might still be signed in (sometimes old tabs/history are cached there)
Check if any browser profile/local backup still exists on your old Windows user folder
Contact Opera support, but realistically they’ll likely confirm it’s not recoverable after overwrite

For future, it’s a good idea to export bookmarks or keep a local backup alongside sync, especially for large history/tabs.

@Mlipka I tried using Opera Air for couple of hours, it's simply unusable, I know you have put a lot of work but but without organization tool such as tab islands it doesn't work - it can be just one color black or white, also no active tab indicator? why take away useful functions from opera one just for sake of minimalism

I have the same problem sometimes.
Tab islands become undone after restart,
if you power off the computer, specially, you
can save the websites to the start page. The speed dial?

"Acceso rápido" or "Marcación rápida" in spanish, and pinboards. I suppose that pinboards are "tableros".

@leocg I couldn't find it, but I did figure something out!

It's kinda embarrassing and was also a huge pain, but I found the Tabs page for sessions and the tab info was still saved. It almost looks like it classified itself as a new computer, instead of the original?
Either way, for anyone else that finds this, sidebar option towards the bottom.

I had to click through and sort all 146 tabs 😑 but I have them back at least now.
and yes, I should really close some tabs....

@BrassNarwhal Tab Islands are now supported on Opera GX.

@birrellwalsh Sync includes tabs, but you probably have to do extensions yourself.

@nickyscientist27 What happens when you try to access them?
