@feunoires As far as I know, GX profiles just create a new profile directory and add a shortcut to it in desktop/taskbar. Basically what you can do in any Chromium based browser with command line --user-data-dir

This update works finally!!! Opera loads the profile again. Seems that no data are lost.
Hopefully, It also works for other users again.

I use the traditional opera and sometimes when I open the browser it shows this error (even though I don't have a profile logged in) and it automatically resets the browser leaving all social networks...

Does anyone know how to solve?!

In the image it says: "A profile error occurred
Unable to read your preference files. Perhaps some features are not available and changes to settings will not be saved."

@michaelbr Thanks. I was hoping Opera wasn't going to be as finicky as the others and not pimp out my Internet usage. I've taken to shopping the paid browsers - but the cost of maintaining my right to privacy is getting too expensive. Easier, and almost worth it to shoot the router. 🙂
