@donq said in The Option, To Re-Show A Previously Hidden Extension Icon In The Extension Toolbar, No Longer Exists:
Well, I just discovered that my Opera (dev version, but most likely earlier ones included that too) has a little cube-shaped button after extensions icons (before Downloads one), tooltipped (is that a word?) as 'Extensions'. Clicking it opens popup with a list of installed and enabled extensions, where you can pin and unpin them Problem solved, at least for me.
I don't think that worked for me but to follow up on what I posted before: I realized that I can click and drag the extensions from the drop down menu I mentioned before with the two arrows. At this point the problem is solved for me. And the option within the extensions menu to "hide from toolbar" actually was working, despite what I originally thought, but it works differently from how I thought it did. It actually completely removes the extension from the toolbar, rather than hiding it in the menu like chrome does.
@sgunhouse I feel that @ant8672 brings up quite a few valid points. With how customizable the browser already is these would all be features I'd be definitely looking forward to seeing.
Sure, this is a bit of a late reply but again, these would all be extremely useful tools and would give Opera GX quite an upgrade in customizability as well as popularity. Especially that Easy Setup bar, there is definitely no use in having it after you have already set up the browser since you have a sidebar and loads of keyboard shortcuts and an entire settings page that does what Easy Setup already does.
@stevencee if you haven't already I would enable the one-click keyboard shortcuts. Better usability imo. Press 0 or + (repeatedly if desired) to zoom in and then 6 to return immediately to 100%. Far easier than messing around with the icon.
Another vote to allow hiding/removing items from the toolbar. There are buttons in there that don't need to be always visible (like share, screenshot, favorites, etc...) all other browsers allow for this and it's making me wanna switch
