Thank you very much !
I confirm that this method works 100%.
You can automatize the backup at regular intervals (for ex, each day) by using a free software such as "Backup Maker".
Bonjour,
@leocg Further to this, I logged out of my Android device and my Windows laptop after going to sync.opera.com and clicking on the reset passphrase to purge any syncing issues. After logging back into each device and Opera account the bookmarks look fine... But on both devices if I go into the bookmarks, they bookmarks in various folders are showing favicons and refresh the icon as need be as I scroll down a folders list. Unfortunately this is not the same with any icon located under Speeddials. The last Android and Windows updates must have done something to keep Favicons from updating. I looked at the Opera Forums and this is not the first time this issue has cropped up. As it has been a server issue before it may be one again and hopefully it will be corrected soon.
Note that speed dials on the start page are bookmarks too. So, backing up the "Bookmarks" file will back them up too. However, thumbnails for speed dials are stored in "Bookmarks Extra". So, you'll want to back that one up too.
Another way to back up bookmarks where you can just import them again is to goto the URL opera://bookmarks and use the export option at the bottom. That will save them as an HTML file that you can import later. It doesn't save speed dial thumbnails though.
