I also had many problems with whatsapp in the past. I recommend you to change and use gbwhatsapp. It's really much better

@blackmonday i can help you mate, go to the add ons and download "volume up boost your sound" install it and the volume can go till 600%

@kazbodnar You can, in the settings>browser sounds then there will be a checkbox thingy, click it on all the sounds you do not like, then Boom the sounds are gone
