Hello, In this update, several important fixes have been implemented to enhance your experience, and Chromium has been upgraded to version 118.0.5993.118. A bug affecting the close button on tabs has been fixed. Previously, when a large number of tabs were opened, the close button would be cut off. With this fix, you will have […]

In my opinion, the tab close button also needs to display when the mouse pointer hovers over an inactive tab.

@leocg I didn't say this is not Stable. The level of 'stability' does matter here.
I think Stable version means that there's no obvious issues (actually, known issues) that prevent daily browsing. Everyday updates is not typical situation here. So instead of a solid changelog while introducing the 104 version, we have many short changelogs everyday because many issues were just missed for the main release a week ago. -

Awaiting anyone's experience with if this version has any migration problems, or looses personalization for anyone. Please advise. Thank you.

I'll say it once again: the pop-out video volume control is not working on YouTube. When adjusting the volume in the pop-out video, a few seconds later, the video volume returns to the video volume level in the tab. This has been going on for about three months.

@thelittlebrowserthatcould: Can you adjust the volume on the pop-out video and it stays at the level you adjusted?

@thelittlebrowserthatcould you should try checking it with live (streaming) videos on youtube. Simple videos behave randomly here.

@kened waiting when Vivaldi will synchronize the volume in PiP.
It's a bit unclear if this is an Opera's issue or some chromium limitation regarding the 'normalized' volume level. In FireFox it works correctly in all situations. If it will work correctly in Vivaldi as well, then it'll be clear who's guilty. -

This links to an existing page with typo in the url ("stale" instead of "stable"): https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2023/10/opera-104-0-4944-36-stale-update/
Which is why the link to the blog post on https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/changelog-for-104/ doesn't work. (because there the url doesn't have the typo)

@andrew84 confirmed: with the Debian build a YouTube live stream I just tried would retain the new volume setting on the pop-out for 20 seconds, at most.

@andrew84: In Vivaldi the pop-out video volume control is working correctly. However, in fact, they need to synchronize the volume control bar.
Yes, but how it will work when it'll be synchronized? That what I meant.
I think the synchronization does matter regarding the issue.
