@mahotilo
Oh, I was wrong. Now I can see reader icon in private mode. Maybe some problems with add-ons?UPD
Ok. This icon appears also in non-private mode. But, it must be certain type of page to see the icon. And icon appears with some delay. -

@mahotilo If the page supports reader mode, you will see the icon to enable it in address bar.

@leocg: Why Reader mode is disabled by default in settings?
-
leocg Moderator Volunteer last edited by 5 Oct 2021, 17:33
@cvm I don't even see a setting for it. And why it should be enabled by default?

Opera 79 was released just ~2 weeks ago.
Usually it takes ~1,5 months between releases.. -
leocg Moderator Volunteer last edited by 5 Oct 2021, 17:35
@andrew84 Chromium has a one month release cycle now.

@leocg: Why it should be enabled by default? Because when you want use it then you must go to experiments and change flag for Reader mode from "Default (D)" to "Enable" and relaunch browser.

@leocg: why is the stable opera on android so rare? after all the chromium vulnerabilities are there as well ... at least there could be security patches = newer chromium more often

@cvm Maybe they still don't want it to be enabled to everyone?

@adam1709 No idea, you will have to ask in the Mobile blog or in the Opera for Android forum.
