@leocg I've watched a lot of US movies in my life, just as everyone of us, I suspect. Any weather forecast room or Disaster Emergency Centers were using umpteen monitors - small and big ones. The bigger the better. A real big one can display more information using more windows, more live camera pictures, more tables, charts, etc.
What was good 15-20 years ago, can be good or better now. A lot of us like to have many things under control - for fun, for work, and for kinky ego even.
What is it Opera developers or managers are able envision what is ahead of us in terms of web browsers and what is hidden from us common users? Information background of those people is greater, of course, but it doesn't mean we should be devoid of such petty luxuries!
Three or four personal PiPs should be part of everyday life if we deemed it we need it. Firefox can? Opera not? C'mon, buddy. 15-20 years ago Opera offered users multi tile environment. It is needed more today than yesterday.
It was only poor technological development which cut it down. Do not soap my eyes with low impact mantra. Your views of what is viable for us or not today, demonize developers only. They are not smart alecks! You too, so do not play it out.
Opera should reinvent the old good "wheels" which were the best then. Let them be better now. As I see every browser is slowly going into a micro operating system. I would have nothing against if Opera Commander based on Opera browser was born some day in close future. Let me stop here. I said enough yet.

@pavelopdev: "Multi PiPs feature is a step in good direction."
I really do agree with this! -

@pavelopdev: "I still believe, as well, communication between us, users, and them, developers, will be rectified soon and will be more friendly aka attentive (including moderators)."
This is one of the most important software development best practices. -

Hi @predrag83yu, I have installed the latest version on one of Ubuntu LTS based boxes (the same version of lib 1:04.4-2) and it runs fine - no any major issues.
You can force the update using your package manager, if you use dpkg you can do it as follows:dpkg -i --force-all latest-dev-opera.deb
and you should be fine. -

@predrag83yu Don't worry you didn't. Sorry, my reply wasn't detailed enough.
1. By "latest-dev..." I mean downloaded DEB package, which you can download from the Opera's repository here or from the ftp servers here.
You can also download it using apt:apt download opera-developer
.
2. When you download it, you can force the update using dpkg as follows:dpkg -i --force-all opera-developer_76.0.3995.0_amd64.deb
.
Small note: of course you have to run it as privileged user (with root rights e.g. using sudo) or as a root. -

I have to apologise as I'm not a developer but I did find problems and I don't know where to report them. I only installed the developer version as I am switching to an M1 Mac and wanted to see if they browser is ready so I can buy the new box. One problem is fairly minor - I can't drag a tab to a new workspace. I have to right click and pick the workspace. This is an annoyance but isn't a big problem for me. The other problem is that I can't access an essential site (for me) on the Developer update.
Opera is configured identically. All the same extensions, every setting, bookmarks, and everything is synced. Almost all the tabs are the same.
The site is https://www.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt/ It works fine in Opera and with Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. It does not work on this Developer update, I get the "Your connection is not private." If I click on "Help me understand," I get a message that the credentials are incorrect. I haven't yet run into the problem with any other sites. Unfortunately, this is a Portuguese government site and it may be difficult to test as many of them block IPs outside Portugal. I do get the same error when I tried an in-country VPN.

I can't remove the top sites from BABE. The three-dots menu doesn't work.

@kened Hi, are you sure? Try continue discarding.
I thought the same, but it seems that it happens because there are a lot of tiles which look similar (the same color).*Also notice that if there are only few tiles left, the other columns (recently closed and visit again) disappear also.
And one more thing here is that if only 2-3 tiles left, BABE doesn't open. More info here https://forums.opera.com/post/245096
