When will the stable version of Workspace be released?

My proposals for changes in Opera (Google Document).

        • DNA-84002 Update look of dropdown items

        Dropdowns are really bad.
They not just flicker white while expanding (as in previous build)
        Video_2020-02-05_205223_0001.png
They look just ugly now. Some thick blue border, some thick black border with white corners in dark mode.
        2020-02-17_140633.png

        • Meanwhile, the borders of bookmarks bar dropdowns and menu/context menu borders are still thick and blurry comparing to toolbar popups borders. https://forums.opera.com/post/196043

          • DNA-83996 Remove Instant Search
It seems that the feature hyped during Reborn2 event suffered the same fate as QuickAccess.

          • DNA-81645 Port video pop-out mute/unmute button
Mute button state is not synchronized with one in the main window (if clicking 'mute' on the pop-out).

Browser closing button is still stays red after clicking 'Cancel' on the confirmation dialog. https://forums.opera.com/post/198271

Pop-out video now has a mute button. Nice.

The Linux plug-in was finally fixed. Google deliberately does this, constantly changing the file location.

Why can't you provide Widevine internally for Linux as Opera, save people from this grind.

                  Regarding the new video pop-out.

                  • Only the bottom and top parts of the video should be dimmed when video popup is hovered by the corsor

                  • Like in the old pop-out a hand cursor should used for hovered elements + highlighting effect. Currently I must be very accurate/precise when clicking controls.
For example, I can't close the popup when the cursor in this position. I must first move the cursor almost exactly to the center of this cross.
                    2020-02-17_182632.png
The same is with timeline, clickable area should be a bit greater than the visble part 2020-02-17_175909.png

                  • Also, the bottom media controls should consume a bit less space (compare youtube player's bottom controls position vs pop-out's ones)
                    2020-02-17_184415.png

                  • Of course, sound volume control and video title are still welcome.

@jojo0587 I don't know, you should ask them.
But I think it won't be back. The reason maybe the same as for the QuickAccess feature - unpopularity among users. I really have never used Instant Search, but I use QuickAccess.

When pasting into the address field, Vivaldi is the only one that replaces newlines from the clipboard with spaces. Every other browser strips the newlines instead. Opera is just doing what Chromium does by default.

I'm getting more and more annoyed with how the development of this browser is going.
They introduce features, I start using them, and then they remove it again.
Do I have to worry about using workspaces now? It's a great feature, but who knows, maybe they'll suddenly remove it in a couple of months.
I'm too lazy to list all of my concerns but I just don't feel the passion for Opera that I once had. I used to recommend it to everyone, now I don't really care anymore.
I really don't want to switch away from Opera, but I'm slowly losing hope for improvement.
/Rant over. Sorry if this is the wrong place, I've never used the forums before and haven't commented since they removed disqus from their blog.

Yes, but only since v66 and the revised address bar. After the rework this feature has been disappeared.

@andrew84: I have not used QuickAcces often, but Instant Search much more often. I don't know if IS was popular among users. I will definitely miss this feature and removing it from Opera is a downside for me.

I see. I can confirm. I guess Opera will have to decided what they want to do.

@mkmllr Most probably not enough people were using the feature to justify keeping it.

When video ends the 'next' button and timeline with timer do disappear.
Comparing to the old pop-out this is an incorrect behavior.

@leocg: Mediocre reasoning, in that case the majority of new features will end up being killed off at some point in the near future. They need to either not make these features in the first place or simply keep them and perfect them then let them be
