With another user agent I can play ARTE videos also with Opera Developer, thanks a lot.
I chose Chromium's User Agent string (
chrome://flags/#chromium-ua-compatibility
) because it doesn't require a third-party extension. -

@leocg Strange that Opera Developer is blocked, but Opera Stable is not (both versions have the integrated VPN, for example). Anyway, thank you.

@ralf-brinkmann See this post, please.
Oh, thank you. It's really difficult to be found in this new (shitty) system.

+ 66.0.3489.0 doesn't crash with downloads dropdown menu any more.
- But builtin PDF viewer still unscrollable (and page number indicator βmessed upβ).
- Actual popup windows (as the one opened by Hangouts extension) don't remember size and place (like in prev build). -

No new blog for the new developer version? Only for the stable and beta, which came later?

@andrew84 I also pop-up video freezes, but not always, but about 4 times out of 10 attempts when trying to unfasten the video!

The user agents are different, that may explain.
Maybe ARTE uses a User-Agent strings whitelist, on which only the standard versions of web browsers are listed. And anything being not whitelisted will be rejected. So nothing specific against Opera Developer. I got it. Thank you.

@yanta: Same here. But works when spoofing
User-Agent
as βFirefox 46β (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0
), for instance.Off-topic:
A valid user agent string for the current Firefox 70 is for example
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:70.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/70.0
Saying that because Firefox 46 was released in April 2016 and some website operators block older web browsers.

@temkem I can't make it work here (on Win8), I tried 10 times and 10 times I see a stop frame.
Additionally 'next video' button doesn't work on popup and 'mute' icon's state (visual) is not synchronized with the main window. -

Ordered by Personal Priority (I will keep posting this till each and every one of these are fixed)
- Video Pop out is broken, the video no longer plays properly when popped out. It just becomes static while the audio continues to play. Also improve the pop-out feature by auto popping out the video if you switch tabs. As well as add the ability change speeds, see close captions and change video quality in the pop-out window.
- Remove restrictions on default search engines.
- Fix your goddamn quick access pane!
- Make instant search use user's default search engine. Google sucks.
- Unify Sidebar with the defunct sidepanel and actually give it a dedicated purpose. No double icons for download, and settings. Be Consistent by consistent i mean put easy setup there as well.
- Actually try to finalize your terrible Reborn UI. This is going so slow you make MS with Windows 10's inconsistency look good!
- Enhance your adblocker to block better, there are a few sites where ads come through, while with other adblockers with exact same filters they don't

@andrew84 They need to add support for chromium extensions there as well. Not just the defunct extensions on Opera Extension store.
