Still isn't fixed sadly. But I can't reproduce it reliably. This time it happend after I opened a popout window (paypal checkout).

I still don't understand why such workarounds are needed – instead of just leaving an appreciated and perfectly well designed Speed Dial button in the address bar in place.

Sorry for my delayed reply. I could not connect to the platform for personal reasons.

Thank you very much for taking time to comment on my post. The solution proposed worked. As @AliasBryce said, I knew this option and thought it was enabled but it was not ô.

I'll mark this post resolved 🙂
Ctrl+W on the last tab in a workspace closes the entire window instead of taking to previous workspace.

@nokesi Due to the feature being so common in many browsers most people are acquainted to it.
I was looking through the forums and found many people asking about the same feature and reporting it as a bug or trying to find the setting.
Also, I haven't been using Opera One, I swtiched to GX instead. It doesn't open a new tab if a tab is closed or moved to another window. So yeah that's the usual behaviour for most of the browsers out there.

It's just a suggestion to improve the user experience for most people 🙂

Not sure when, but now it is fixed, I can select them from the very top. The scroll bar however is still out of reach

It can be really pain in the ass trying to click on those few pixels of that rectangle, just give us some more options, like:

As some topics here already suggested: option to give it a name and then keep that name visible at all times

option to change the shape to something wider, like a circle, box, or simply wider rectangle

I believe function should be primary objective of internet browser, not it's design.. all these changes look to be design oriented first, function second.

@whiter1 i also have noticed this very annoying behaviour.

i have also noticed a change in the slider that I find more difficult to grab. As often as not i either manage to click one of the tabs underneath it or change the window to not full screen.

I hope the snap to leftmost gets fixed soon.

@luisleyra I agree! They always know how to screw up a program. I too want to get rid of this "island" stuff and the new tab "+" signs all over the tabs. Can't even click on certain tabs because the "+" is in the way. Whoever thought this format was a good idea should be fired! Wish I could find a download of the old version and reinstall it. I'm about to change to Firefox bc of this shit.

@lethewaters this problem is over a year old, and it comes from the regular version of Opera. I noticed that this problem occurs when you have more than one workspace (and it seems to be the same for the islands) - the tabs start moving in random order (you want to move or open in the middle or behind a certain one - and it opens anywhere but where you want). If you delete/close another workspace, everything starts working normally. I submitted a bug report about this over a year ago, but the problem is ignored and still exists even when they released Opera One (and I don't use either workspace or islands because of this).
