@peak4 Same problem here lost tons of tabs. why did opera released unstable version of browser feels more like Opera Beta than stable release , anyone knows how to fix this? I tried turning off hardware acceleration , reason why tabs might be gone is that opera removed Delay loading of background tab at start up function

RE: Lost My Opened TabsTab Islands, Tabs and Workspaces
Recently there has been an issue when opening Opera browser
(usually after rebooting windows) when all the tabs are gone,
reason for that could be related to memory management issue during start up,
so try extension called Tab Suspender and suspend all tabs before shutting down opera.Developers still hasn't fixed issues that has been relevant since they moved to chromium engine
such as [White screen 'flashbang' when opening pages]
if here is anyone working for opera can you tell us when will this be resolved -
RE: Restore "last open tabs" after crashGeneral
@namero999 I thought tab islands were the cause of crash but seems like even without it opera looses all the open tabs, white flash issue while loading suspended tabs is still part of Opera even after years of users complaining

@andrewcerberus Opera needs built in session manager with workspace awareness

Separate window for Opera Video Pop Out - Picture in picture windowOpera for Windows
Opera pop out video - picture in picture video is not a separate windows anymore so it's impossible to record something using OBS window recorder like in Edge or Chrome, is there way to get back pop out video to be separate window again like it used to be?
Opera only shows one window instead of second dedicated windows for pop out

[Suggestion]tab Islands Shouldn't Be Fully Collapsed Once You Leave ThemTab Islands, Tabs and Workspaces
TAB Islands needs to have one displaying tab just like it's shown on picture, and they shouldn't collapse to just one line (as it's shown in red circle) ![alt text]( https://imgtr.ee/image/nhpcN)

Session Buddy only sees tabs from active workspace , this was already an issue with TabHamster
is it possible to fix this issue started occurring since Dec 24 on stable version? -
RE: Lost My Opened TabsTab Islands, Tabs and Workspaces
@marqm I agree, windows 10 version could be more unstable, nothing insulting here, just saying that this issue might not have any workaround until they fix it, to be honest I'm surpised they have released new update since this report and didn't even fix the main issue

RE: Opera 116.0.5366.71 Stable updateBlogs
Issue with extensions not being able to track tabs more than one workspace at a time since 4th of December hasn't been fixed.
Community requested white flashbangs when opening suspended tabs hasn't been fixed.
Community requested function to make opera not open more than one window and force websites open in new tabs instead of new windows haven't been implemented butat least we have bluesky in sidebar now -
RE: Opera adds community-requested features to Developer: test Slack, Discord, and Bluesky in the sidebarBlogs
Nobody has ever requested Bluesky sidebar , it was just easy for a developer to implement and he did,
People have been asking to fix white flashing issue when opening suspended tabs for years but nobody listens! -
RE: Opera 117.0.5408.8 beta updateBlogs
@burnout426: Can you please answer my second question if white flashing could be fixed since opera implemented an option to force dark theme on browser content

RE: Opera 117.0.5408.8 beta updateBlogs
@burnout426: I hope answer will be given soon since this issue is affecting extension from opera's store as well, those extensions can't keep track on tabs from other workspaces.

@daria19: this issue has been around since 2006 so almost 20 years later if chromium hasn't fixed it why will it fix anytime soon
-
RE: Opera 117.0.5408.8 beta updateBlogs
@daria19: That is my point. Extensions like tab suspender now only suspends tabs in current workspace , this issue affects both opera's and chrome's extensions

Thank you for tab emojis but can you try to instead of adding features fix bugs chromium has that are driving users away?
https://issues.chromium.org/issues/40581308
Such as this one about content area flashes white when changing or re-opening tabs . -
RE: Opera 117.0.5408.8 beta updateBlogs
I guess developers don't really care reading this comments but I will try reach out for fifth time anyways, Opera updates since December have broken the functionality of thousands of extensions, including tab buddy, tab suspender and so on, now those extensions only affect tabs in current workspace and tabs outside of workspace aren't being saved
So if I lose my tabs after opera crash now I only have them saved a single workstation - using Tab buddy and other tab managers

RE: Opera 115.0.5322.119 Stable updateBlogs
@daria19: But those extensions are designed for chrome and if Opera changes something with Workspace functionality it prevents extensions to work correctly so there is no way to fix this?

RE: Opera 115.0.5322.119 Stable updateBlogs
The recent updates have broken the functionalities of couple of extensions like Session Buddy since they can now only keep track of a single worstation
Session Buddy only sees tabs from active workspace , this was already an issue with TabHamster
is it possible to fix this issue started occurring since Dec 24 on a stable version? thanks
