I see this message only when the Opera VPN is enabled. In the latter case I get that message presented on all forums using the same forum software as this one does.

Maybe it has something to do with how that forum software is working (and the VPN).

Half of people have no clue what or why something is happening. I deal with such nonsense basically daily. This is why you don't see more reports, half of the people think it's because they did something. I know I didn't do anything here. Either Opera broke their own browser or they broke the forum.

If it were true, there would have been lots of reports from the other half.

Tell it not to send you emails for various things. I get notified only when I visit the site (via a pop-up notification inside the window); I don't get any emails from the site. Turning off digest without turning off notifications means you get a separate email for each post.

NodeBB 1.9.0 had an error that caused the forums to crash (and subsequently respawn) frequently. You have probably caught the time where all forums instances died simultaneously and new ones did not spin up yet.

We've upgraded to 1.9.1 today, which promises to fix some of these bugs, so fingers crossed.

When a developer answers the original question, you'll know. But your thread was almost exactly a copy of the original (which you posted in, so you knew it was there) and thus is redundant. It's in the rules that duplicate threads get closed or removed. As do threads like this ...
