A quick announcement:

Today we have decided to stop using Gravatar as a default avatar source for Opera forums.
This is due to privacy concerns expressed by some users.

From now on Gravatar is an opt-in feature that you will need to explicitly choose to enable on your Profile edit page (using the Change Picture button). As an alternative, you can use this page to customize the default avatar look or replace it altogether with a custom avatar.

Now I made this account, but is it possible to regain access to my old forum account or at least for its posts to be associated with this one I made?

On the old account I had an Gmail address associated.

You usually can’t fully delete an Opera forum account yourself. The best option is to contact Opera support directly through their help page and request account deletion.
You can also disable email notifications from account settings to stop further emails.
