What are the _autoupdate.exe files in the Opera FTP page?

Files to be used by the auto update process.

Are they used to manually update Opera Browser?

Nope.

we could update Opera 15 to the newest version using these files

You use the file that doesn't have 'auto update' on its name.
Is it possible to update Opera 15 to 45 using manual update?

You would have to switch the country as indicated by zalex108. You could also choose to hide the box altogether since the address bar has the exact same functionality. Hiding it will also provide you with additional space for your precious Speed Dial.

I think it's a problem of your VPN, anyways opera VPN is very good VPN...but every VPN has its good and bad times, nonetheless, I personally use Opera VPN for streaming and some other VPNs that are mentioned here: https://www.reviewsdir.com/fastest-vpn-services/ They are perfectly fine VPNs if you are a die-hard streamer.
After update Opera deletes all my extensions and all tabs from express-panel

The browser downloads and installs the update itself, it is likely not in the folder... I found that the browser extensions were removed, but their data remained. That's good. For some reason the browser settings selectively lost - some lost, and some stayed.
As it turned out, the problem may be not only in the update, but in the hard drive too - apparently it has bad sectors, because the computer was shut down incorrectly and the surface of the hard disk could get scratched. Thanks for the tips)

Google does not own Opera and never has. Opera is based on Chromium, which Google is the major contributor to, but Google doesn't even own Chromium. Chromium is open source, and anyone who wants to could create a fork (a new version separate from the official version) as long as their changes are also open source.

And I presume you mean auto-complete, not auto-fill.

The changelog url was leaked in the blog for the 881 release:

As you can see, it has the notes for the new .888 release.
Now and again some info leaks through the cracks. 🙂

Edit: Autoupdate kicked back in but when relaunching it did not restore the session. (Did it ever? I don't remember.)

Turbo is itself essentially a proxy, so the company network's blocking of it is understandable, given their policy. Moreover, Turbo by design doesn't operate on https connections, so the passage through the company network of your Opera https connections makes sense and is consistent with the Turbo proxy blocking.
