  Oh well, since I've tried everything I could think of to fix this issue, to no avail, and got no suggestions from this forum, either, I finally had no choice but to abandon Opera with a heavy heart and return to Chrome. Too bad, I liked Opera, but I just can't live with crashes every two hours.

  If you signed in to Opera with your Google account, you can goto https://auth.opera.com/account/edit-profile, scroll down and unconnect it. Besides that, not sure what you're referring to.

  In the Sessions folder, the Sessions_timestamp file is for your tabs you have open. The Tabs_timestamp file is for recently-closed tabs.

  They are SNSS files.

  @khellstre Resetting the passphrase allows you to go to Sync settings and change the passphrase.

  So, just login to Sync service and, on the page to choose what to synchronize, enable the option to use a passphrase, creating a new one.

  Additional inf. The message appearing in the center of the screen seems to be the one programmed within Opera itself. It is together with a small angel.
