What If I change my Opera Account password? Will it automatically cascade settings to the encrypted passwords in the account or will they get reset and I had to start all over again?
Precisely I am looking to see what are the pros and cons between using a Passphrase and Opera Credentials to encrypt the passwords in the account.
It would be good if Opera invoked the installed Antivirus when the file download gets completed. Nevertheless since most of the antiviruses scan any newly created files there are a few antiviruses which have a delay scanning so that this suggestion for Opera to explicitly invoke the Antivirus to scan the newly downloaded file can ensure protection from malware/viruses entering the computer.
@53-north Yes. That is what I was trying to convey too. Opera is just a web browser and is dependent on the underlying network performance for its functioning. Hence recommended OpenDNS to see if that helps.
@monlauj54 Not sure if there was an #AlwaysOnTop setting in Opera. I remember only with that setting this type of behavior is observed in Windows applications.
Both Firefox and Chrome have brought a feature that when we right click in any Password field there is an option to generate a Strong Password (besides an optional auto-saving the same).
I would like Opera to have this feature implemented in their browser too.
I do see a few extensions listed for this purpose. A quick Google search gave me this:

Currently if we turn off VPN on a particular tab it seems to be turning off the same for all the open tabs. I guess this would not be a preferred behavior as per UI itself. It should be tab specific setting instead of controlling the entire application.
@leocg I perfectly agree that virus scanning would be a prerogative of locally installed antivirus. However my suggestion is to ensure suspicious downloads could be quickly looked up against diversified virus detection engines that VirusTotal or Jotti offers because no antivirus could be 100% when it comes to confronting all malware.

I am just wondering if there is an option to export bookmarks, passwords etc from Opera to other supported browsers like Firefox, Chrome.
One user requested this info in our team. I was searching around the browsers' settings and did a bit of Google search but could not find the same. Additionally the interoperability with new Microsoft Edge (Import/Export) seems to be missing too.
Every time I start my Windows and login; when I start the Opera browser any request freezes the browser window, takes it to Not Responding for a few minutes and then crashes the same.
Subsequent launches seems to be fine. This is the current version installed on my Windows 10 laptop:

Opera itself is a very good multi-tabbed browser and I am sure it has the best memory management against truant web pages trying to mis-appropriate memory within their respective tab realms. Notwithstanding the same and to take it to the next level I was just wondering that it would be a value addition to have a start up option to restrict the browser to a single instance. If a second instance of Opera is requested the first instance shall be brought to the forefront.
And I honestly hope this would add more teeth to the #Adblocking controls of the browser.
@leocg It would enhance the user-friendliness of the website. Wordpress Zoho Forums are a few other examples which ensure this Accessibility feature is honored.
