@andrew84: another one thing I noticed is that the toggle is off after switching the dark theme off>on (so the toggle must remember its state).
Also there should be some exceptions list for selected web pages (similarly to the page zoom option) to exclude particular pages from the dark theme.

I'm using Opera GX profiles to get around the limitation of a pip window. Since it is possible to allow pip windows per profile independently, I believe it is not too difficult to allow the browser itself to have multiple pip windows simultaneously.

Not all extension icons troubles are resolved, some got even worse - some extensions, configured to click for page access, have nasty red background around icons.

@donq I can confirm. But this is quite a rare case. In order to reproduce this bug, you need to set up any extension to click to access the page.

Make the normal highlighting boxes for items in dropdowns and menus instead of the ugly white contrasting in dark mode.
I don't ask for something special, just unify and make the same style which used in the sidebar's bookmarks panel

i have updated my opera browser after this as i open some websites they got crashed as well i am also facing issue in darkmod even my internet is stable,Is it an update problem or i have to change my IP
