Hello there, Here is our weekly developer update, based on chromium version 85.0.4181.8. We are introducing a new feature – Easy Files. Easy Files helps you quickly find relevant files to upload. It offers you a choice of Opera’s most recently downloaded files or any file or image that you’ve copied with any application on…

          Hi everybody!
The problem with Cloudflare and "international" pages is still there.
When I reload pages with top level domains *.com or *.net with F5 either the page is not found or the HTML content is unformatted or I see only parts of the page, like here in the opera blog pages I see the introductary text but not the discussion contributions. Most time the page simply is not found.
If I then press SHIFT-F5 or CTRL-F5 several times, the original page comes back.
If I use my standard DNS resolver (T-Online here in Germany) I don't have this problem and also not on *.de pages.
I have not tested all other possibilities, but another user reported, that he has also problems with *.it. And once I had it on a *.sc page.

'Shared start page' feature still needs optimizing/improvements, there are still fragments from previous tabs visible (popups, expanded lists, scrolled page) when creating new tabs).

The similar is with the browser UI, still there are a lot of flashbangs/flickerings.

I don't know how necessary is this 'Easy Files', but I don't see any improvements regarding the one of the main features, 'Search in tabs' feature (Tab Menu in the past). Still only 3 closed tabs, still no dark mode support, still no ability closing open tabs.
Taking into account that you already removed the flag (before making the feature fully functional) the only solution for me is to block the 70 Stable version update.

                      +1

Removing of "closed tabs" functionality without any reason and without acceptable replacement - and No , 3 closed tabs in new "search in opened tabs" is not acceptable replacement! - is a no go for 71 for me 😕

@krteq then you should block the 70 version, current 70 Beta doesn't have the flag already.

Yet more bloatware... for a feature that I don't think is particularly useful,, Welp my story with Opera seems to be coming to an end. Opera still remains completely resistant to common sense (similar to the narrow minded mod leo), it seems and wants to bloat their browser with more useless features and remove the ones that users used. I personally do not like where Opera is going or wants to go at the moment. Especially when you have browsers like Yandex, Vivaldi and Whale among others who have refined rthe features that Opera has and even advanced past where Opera is currently at. As well as what appears to me to be poor resource allocation for their projects.

Visse. Removing closed tabs is really the last straw.

Easy Files is a great feature, at least for me.

I'd like to know something else. Why do I still see only 3 recently closed tabs? Change this ASAP!

@krteq: in their screenshot in this 70 version announcement https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2020/05/opera-70-0-3701-0-developer-update there is 'show more' dropdown, but it seems that they are not hurry in implementing this or this is just a picture (cheating).

                                            Bug.
After switching themes dark > light or vice versa the text on tabs is unreadable. If the browser was started with active light theme, then it's enough tabs hovering by the cursor to restore the correct view. If browser was tarted with dark theme, then after switching the light theme on inactive tabs will be black on hover.
