Is it possible to hide the sidebar when websites are opened?

Hi, after the last Opera update, the sidebar is visible all the time. I enjoyed the previous behavior: The sidebar is visible only in the Speed Dial tab! When websites are opened, the sidebar is not visible. I couldn't find out how to get this behavior back. (On a side note, since I'm complaining about the update, the history tab also got worse, because the items are taking more space vertically and not enough space horizontally! Also, sometimes I can't delete a single item or I need to click it several times. It's the first time an update has worsened my Opera experience.)

I also face this. Missing the ability to pin and unpin the sidebar and only access it from speed dial. I will also miss the ability to access other pages like Settings and Extensions from speed dial.
I will now have to actually learn the keyboard shortcuts for the Downloads, Bookmarks, Settings, Extensions, etc instead of accessing them from the O menu.

Almost the same issue as this

I am thinking the same I already use shortcut to access history, don't really need to access downloads (icon in toolbar is enough), no need to access extensions, My Flow, search.. Still, it would be really nice if they just gave us back the possibility to pin/unpin sidebar as before!

Same here. Now I'll have to type Ctrl+H.
Yes, it's the same issue, I don't know how I missed the post. -

The old way of showing it only on speed dial page was good, the new way of either showing all the time or hiding all the time is stupid
Why keep fixing things that aren't broken until they are broken? Did Opera fire the entire design team and hire a bunch of complete newbies? Many of the recent design changes completely baffles me,
