@Kiryu-3 The crash may have messed up with the profile directory. Rename it so that a new one is created, set up a few things in Opera, then close and reopen to see if changes are kept.
@djchris121 There isn't such button and there never was.
If VPN button is not already in address bar, go to settings page and enable VPN
If you are still having the issue, try restarting Opera.

I'm having the same problem too, it started to happen after the latest update. Reinstalling has not solved the problem!
