System:
- OS: Zorin OS (Ubuntu-based)
- Opera GX: 133.0.5932.81 Stable (64-bit)
- Chromium: 149
- Widevine: 4.10.3050.0
Problem:
DRM content does not work in Opera GX. Crunchyroll returns error KAT-6005.Tests performed:
- Widevine component is installed and up to date.
- libwidevinecdm.so exists.
- ldd reports no missing dependencies.
- Bitmovin DRM demo reports "No DRM".
- opera://media-internals never shows CDM/EME/Widevine events.
- Firefox works correctly on the same machine.
Additional information:
strace shows Opera opening:~/.config/opera-gx/WidevineCdm/4.10.3050.0/manifest.json
~/.config/opera-gx/WidevineCdm/4.10.3050.0/_platform_specific/linux_x64/libwidevinecdm.soHowever DRM is never registered and websites cannot detect any supported key system.
This appears to be a regression in Opera GX Linux 133.

@Ryluc said in Opera GX Linux 133 - Widevine loads but DRM is unavailable (Crunchyroll KAT-6005):
~/.config/opera-gx/WidevineCdm/4.10.3050.0/manifest.json
~/.config/opera-gx/WidevineCdm/4.10.3050.0/_platform_specific/linux_x64/libwidevinecdm.soSo, you're using the deb package of Opera GX?
