I probably should have said that in this post but i did have the tasks manager up, and it would show nothing happening with Opera GX even while it was playing the start up animation. Even tho the tasks manager is up it doesn’t show Opera starting even tho I can see it visually start the animation then pop up the window for Opera GX For half a second before crashing.
Making it black doesn't fix the problem I'm mainly worried about - when I'm playing games, the site doesn't even register the mouse when it's at the top of the screen, which is Insanely annoying. The line I have is a single pixel thick, and I'm running Ubuntu 18.04.05
Let's talk about latest and greatest in Opera world: experimental builds, beta and developer versions
Posting about your problem
After have done the steps above and confirmed that the problem is most probably in Opera, it's time to post about it.
Start the topic with a title that briefly describe the problem so people will know about what this is about.
Don't try to explain all the problem in the title.
Use tags to make it easy for other users to find posts about similar issues. If posting about Opera Mail then add the 'Opera Mail' tag
In the post (body) you should include the following information:
Your OS (Linux, Mac, Windows)
Your version of Opera
If the problem is with a page, a link to it
A screen-shot of the problem if it's related to something not showing as should
A description of the problem, including as much as information as possible
Steps to (try to) reproduce the issue
Expected behavior and actual one
Is there some feature you would love see added to Opera browser on computer? Let us know!
This is a copy of my GX forum request, since main-browser users presumably want the feature back just as much as GX users.
A recent update to opera removed the opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs, which allowed users to keep Recent Tabs in leu of Search in Open Tabs.
I'd like the flag back, or (given that the search in tabs feature can now also show recently closed tabs) an option to have the new feature show up in the same way the old did.
The old feature showed up in a dropdown from the icon, which was great for when a user needed to quickly get back to a tab they'd just closed, whereas the new feature shows up over the center of the browser, which is great for searching, but not so great for getting back to recently closed tabs.
@graveyardgirl there is an opera add-on, site settings sidebar. setting plugin+NPAPI plugin to allow (pop-up too if needed) enabled the flash and i could display any flash content without problems. you set this once on any desired website, and opoen it in a new tab, it saves that setting and will always display the flash content without having to click to play.
also there is another workaround, https://forums.opera.com/topic/23326/flash-player-does-not-work-can-not-be-able/80
maybe one of these options will work for you. I know it's not a complete solution, but it's decent enough workarounds.
In addition: Win 8.1 Opera 49.0.2725.47 icon on the push not displayed http://prntscr.com/hge2i7
Improvement. May be it'll be better to open new tab after click on push instead opening new opera window? Or this parameter can be changed somewhere?
@leocg said in Opera turbo with https connections?:
@tempale Basically privacy and security.
I do not need privacy I need to save traffic. I want to choose what I need.
However, I no longer use the opera (and for this reason in particular)
