I see this was mentioned in 2023 but I never saw it until now. Putting Opera in dark mode is a work-around but not a long-term solution at least for me. This affects titles within groups; the group titles show normally. I sure hope there is a cure. We did lose power yesterday so I am wondering if that played a role somehow.

I am a little confused by your wording. Tab menu (CTRL+M) doesn't really let you "do things that aren't already shortcuts", it just shows your tabs (which I think has been replaced by "Search tabs" CTRL/ALT+SPACE now).

To access the main menu in the menu bar, you can use the shortcuts inherent to Mac, as "main menu inside app" is more of a Windows element that doesn't apply to Mac. If the relevant device shortcuts are already active, then you can use CTRL+F2 (FN+CTRL+F2 without function lock) to focus the keyboard on the menu bar.

New update for Windows only - 89.0.4447.101 ;-)

It looks like a minor one, I can't provide info about the changes, because the change log is unavailable for now. There's also no blog post for this version.

@pow1 ok, thx for checking. I have a lot of bookmarks on the bookmarks bar (in bookmarks bar folders) and favicons are also not loading, but bookmarks are clickable. Browser is also fully responsive during this time.

*Maybe you can try installing 89 portable version (usb installation option selected in installer). Here the portable version opens speed dial instantly (but there are only few default tiles, of course).
So maybe there's some profile issue in my case after update. But speed dial is fast again if I revert back to 78 version.

@sca96et So you clicked on the reset passphrase link and did reset your passphrase? If so, then your synced data was reset too.

Opera 89 is humming very nicely here ... still my favorite over worthy contenders in Vivaldi, Brave, etc.

Optional website panels via opera://flags is another seeming to be upcoming built-in feature that operates quite nicely here!

Flow is saving me a lot of headaches lately with going back and forth from Desktop to Phone ... love it!

I am loving the instant weather lookups in the address bar, too, now.

@fenyxdev yes, and they still have not fixed it while clearly doing other updates. Extremely disappointed in Opera. I am considering switching browsers after years of use. I am also not a fan of the badges appearing on the workspaces for no apparent reason. They really messed up.

If sync is activated, you will keep your bookmarks.
Check if bookmarks are properly synced in your Opera account.
When uninstalling your current Opera version (89...), or installing the 88 version, Do Not check "Delete my Opera user data".
